Eternity is not just a distant theological concept but a real promise from God for all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. For the believer, death is not the end but the beginning of a new, unimaginable life where all the pain, division, and wickedness of this world vanish forever. This hope is not based on our own merit but on the finished work of Christ, who assures us that there is a place prepared for us in the presence of God, filled with peace, joy, and perfection beyond our comprehension. [03:42]
John 14:2-3 (ESV)
"In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also."
Reflection: When you think about eternity, what fears or hopes arise in your heart, and how might trusting in Jesus’ promise of a place prepared for you change the way you face those feelings today?
God’s promise for eternity is not just about a new location but about a complete renewal of all things. In the new heaven and new earth, God Himself will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain. The former things that brought suffering and brokenness will be gone forever, replaced by a life of wholeness and joy that only God can provide. [19:49]
Revelation 21:4-5 (ESV)
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And he who was seated on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.' Also he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'"
Reflection: What is one area of pain or sorrow in your life that you need to entrust to God’s promise of making all things new?
Eternity with God is described as receiving the water of life without payment, a gift that fully satisfies the deepest thirst of the soul. Just as nothing but water can truly quench physical thirst, only Jesus can satisfy the longing of our hearts. In eternity, this satisfaction is complete—no more striving, no more anxiety, no more emptiness—just perfect, abundant life given freely by God. [26:02]
Revelation 21:6 (ESV)
"And he said to me, 'It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.'"
Reflection: Where do you find yourself seeking satisfaction apart from Christ, and how can you turn to Him today to quench your spiritual thirst?
The promise of eternity is received not by good works or religious rituals, but by faith and repentance. Faith means trusting Jesus enough to place your whole life in His hands, while repentance means turning away from sin and toward God. This is not a one-time event but a daily posture of humility, dependence, and transformation, as God’s grace leads you into new life. [41:07]
Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
Reflection: Is there an area in your life where you need to move from mere belief to active faith and repentance? What step can you take today to trust and follow Jesus more fully?
Jesus gave a new commandment: to love one another as He has loved us. This love is not self-serving or superficial, but sacrificial and truthful, seeking the best for others even when it is difficult. Living with eternity in view means loving others with the same purpose and passion that Christ has for us, knowing that God’s work in us is to restore what was broken and to make us more like Him. [31:41]
John 13:34-35 (ESV)
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
Reflection: Who is one person you can intentionally love with Christ-like love today, even if it means having a hard conversation or making a personal sacrifice?
For nine weeks, we have journeyed through the promises of God, finding peace and victory in His Word. Today, the focus turns to the promise of eternity—a reality that awaits every person, whether we think about it or not. Eternity is not just a theological concept; it is the ultimate fulfillment of God’s plan for those who put their faith in Jesus Christ. While the details of eternity are beyond our comprehension, Scripture assures us that it is a place of perfection, peace, and unbroken relationship with God, where all sorrow, pain, and regret are wiped away.
Death is a certainty for all, and the thought of what comes after can bring fear, especially for those who are unsure or do not know Christ. Yet, for the believer, death is not an end but a transition into a new, unimaginable life. The promise of eternity is not about escaping fear, but about learning to trust God more deeply, even when fear is present. Faith over fear is not a slogan, but a lived reality—leaning into God’s presence and strength when our own is insufficient.
God’s desire is not just for us to believe in Him, but to participate in His kingdom, to experience His majesty, and to deepen our trust through relationship. The world often lulls us into self-sufficiency, like the church of Laodicea, but true security is found only in Christ. The riches and comforts of this world are fleeting; only what is built on Christ will last. The promise of eternity is for those who thirst for God, who long for Him as a deer pants for water, and who receive the gift of life without payment—a life made perfect, not by our efforts, but by Christ’s finished work.
Eternity is not a distant, abstract hope, but a promise rooted in God’s character as the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. It is a place of perfect love, relationship, and restoration, where God Himself is our light and our joy. The invitation is clear: faith and repentance open the door to this eternal inheritance. The alternative—separation from God—is real, but God’s heart is that all would come to Him and receive the fullness of life He offers.
Revelation 21:1-8 (ESV) — > Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

> And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
John 14:1-3 (ESV) — > “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
Psalm 42:1-2 (ESV) — > As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
You know, that's the call of the gospel. To trust Christ as your Savior is to come up here. Put your faith in Jesus is to come before you understand. It's called faith. You're not supposed to have all the answers. You're not supposed to know all of the deep -seated truths of the Word of God. [00:14:21] (27 seconds) #FaithBeforeUnderstanding
No more sorrow. No more pain. No more fear. No more regret. Sounds good right? Yeah. It does doesn't it? It's only for those who love God. It's only for those who put their faith in Christ. You say well that's not fair. Well that's God's plan. So take it up with him. God expects you to follow his son. He is the sacrifice. He is the payment. He is the one who resolves the debt of the sins of man. He is the answer. [00:18:58] (38 seconds) #FaithfulSacrificeAndSalvation
You, you are not who you're supposed to be right now. See, God created you. He created you in his image. He created you after his likeness. He created you. And God doesn't create broken things. Sin broke you. God didn't break you. Sin broke you. God is the only one who can fix that which was broken. And he chose to do it through his son. [00:33:26] (38 seconds) #RestoredInGodsImage
All I know is it's going to be better than anything we could possibly imagine. It's going to be more beautiful than we could possibly imagine. It's going to be more peaceful than I could possibly acknowledge. It's going to be more pure than I could possibly explain. It is going to be more perfect in every aspect, the connectivity that we have with God. The Bible says there's going to be no need for a son. Why? Because God himself will be the light. [00:34:52] (24 seconds) #BeyondImaginationEternity
When I go to a store, and I purchase something, the minute the money leaves my hands, and it's rung up, and I receive a receipt, it is no longer the property of the stores. It doesn't belong to them anymore. It is completed in full. It's kind of like in your life. How many of you guys ever had a car payment? Remember the day you paid it off? Yes. Yeah, it makes you happy, doesn't it? Maybe your house. How many of you guys paid off a house? So you remember how it made you feel. It's a transaction completed. Why? Because you knew from that day moving forward, that was yours. Jesus says it's finished. What he's referring to is the payment for sin was done. It was concluded. It was finished. [00:36:31] (48 seconds) #PaymentForSinIsFinished
Putting yourself in the arms of Jesus is not about just belief. It's about trust. It's about dependency. And sometimes it feels a little bit like, I don't know, but I'm going to do it anyways. You ever heard the song? He's proved himself or and or, over and over. You ever heard that? That's the blessing of faith. As I put my faith in Christ, as I set my heart and my life in the hands of Jesus, all of a sudden my faith starts to have evidence. [00:39:50] (39 seconds) #FaithThatProvesItself
Repent of your sin. Turn away from your wickedness. The Bible says, God, resist the proud, but give grace to the humble. Humility is about recognition. I had to come to a conclusion in my life. I remember when I realized that I had already come to this conclusion. It was in a doctor's office. My doctor was a bumbling. I'm not going to say it because he might watch this online. I like him, but he was just kind of all over himself, and here's what he wanted to do. He wanted to go, you fat. But he couldn't say it, right? He was like, well, you know, maybe some of these issues and conditions are due to the situation going on. You know, it's kind of hard to carry, and he wouldn't finish a sentence. And I finally looked at him and go, I'm morbidly obese. I know it. You're not going to hurt my feelings. I learned it when I couldn't step on the scale at Publix. Okay? It's just a reality. I came to the conclusion of my weight, and here's what it led to. It led to change. It led to a recognition of change. What do I mean? I stopped bad things. I started drinking good things. I started exercising when I used to not. I did things differently in my life because I turned away from the bad habits towards better habits. That's a repentant heart. [00:41:39] (87 seconds) #RepentanceLeadsToChange
There is another alternative, and that is hell. And you need to understand hell is real. And it is not God sending you there. It's you choosing to go there. If there is a choice between A or B, A being hell, and B being heaven, and here's the only way you get this way, and you choose to do it a different way, you're choosing that. God is a God of love and compassion. He's also a God of freedom and free will. One day, you'll tell God, leave me alone. Get away from me. Stop bothering me. And God, in his mercy, will honor your request. And you'll never have to deal with God again. Because hell is a place where God is not. Everything God is, ceases in hell. Everything that the enemy has created exists in completion in hell. And I'm not trying to scare you, but I'm trying to warn you. I'm trying to warn you.
