Embracing the Power of Faith: Nothing is Impossible

Summary

In this message, we explore the theme for 2025: "Nothing is Impossible." This year, we are encouraged to embrace the belief that through God, the impossible can become possible. Reflecting on Ephesians 3:20-21, we are reminded that everything we need is already within us, empowered by the Spirit of God. This empowerment is not just a concept but a reality that we can access through three distinct powers: Seed Power, Authentic Power, and Invisible Power.

Seed Power is the ability to speak life and truth into existence. Just as seeds grow into plants, our words, when aligned with God's Word, can bring about transformation and miracles. We are encouraged to be mindful of the seeds we sow with our language, ensuring they align with God's promises and truth.

Authentic Power is about recognizing and embracing the unique gifts and abilities God has given each of us. Like Ehud, the left-handed warrior in Judges, we may have qualities that seem unconventional, but they are precisely what God can use to fulfill His purposes. Our perceived weaknesses can be our greatest strengths when surrendered to God.

Invisible Power is the power of faith. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is the key to unlocking the realm of possibilities, allowing us to see beyond our current circumstances and trust in God's promises.

Through a personal testimony of healing during a mission trip, we are reminded of the tangible power of faith and prayer. Despite insecurities and doubts, stepping out in faith can lead to miraculous outcomes. This year, as we hold onto the belief that nothing is impossible, we are called to activate these powers within us, trusting in God's Spirit to work through us.

Key Takeaways:

1. Seed Power: Our words have the power to shape reality. By speaking God's Word and promises, we plant seeds of faith that can lead to transformation and miracles. Be intentional about the seeds you sow with your language, ensuring they align with God's truth. [01:09:27]

2. Authentic Power: Embrace your unique gifts and abilities, even those that seem unconventional. God can use what you perceive as weaknesses to fulfill His purposes. Like Ehud, your distinct qualities are part of God's plan for your life. [01:15:12]

3. Invisible Power: Faith is the key to unlocking the realm of possibilities. It allows us to see beyond our current circumstances and trust in God's promises. Cultivate faith by immersing yourself in God's Word and believing in His power to do the impossible. [01:20:09]

4. Overcoming Insecurities: Insecurities can often be the very areas where God wants to demonstrate His power. Trust that God can use your perceived weaknesses to propel you into His destiny for your life. [01:22:57]

5. Miraculous Testimonies: Personal testimonies of faith and healing remind us of God's power at work. Despite doubts and insecurities, stepping out in faith can lead to miraculous outcomes. Trust in God's Spirit to work through you. [01:28:31]

Devotional

Day 1: The Power of Words to Transform Reality
Our words hold the potential to shape the world around us. Just as seeds grow into plants, the words we speak can bring about transformation and miracles when they align with God's Word. This concept, known as Seed Power, encourages us to be intentional about the language we use, ensuring it reflects God's promises and truth. By speaking life and truth, we plant seeds of faith that can lead to significant change in our lives and the lives of others. [01:09:27]

Ephesians 4:29 (ESV): "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."

Reflection: Think of a recent conversation where your words could have been more life-giving. How can you intentionally use your words today to align with God's truth and promises?

Day 2: Embracing Your Unique Gifts
Authentic Power is about recognizing and embracing the unique gifts and abilities God has given each of us. Like Ehud, the left-handed warrior in Judges, we may have qualities that seem unconventional, but they are precisely what God can use to fulfill His purposes. Our perceived weaknesses can be our greatest strengths when surrendered to God. Embracing these unique aspects of ourselves allows us to participate in God's plan for our lives and the world around us. [01:15:12]

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (ESV): "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone."

Reflection: Identify a unique trait or ability you have that you might have overlooked or undervalued. How can you use this gift to serve others and fulfill God's purpose in your life?

Day 3: Faith as the Key to Possibilities
Invisible Power is the power of faith, which allows us to see beyond our current circumstances and trust in God's promises. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By cultivating faith, we unlock the realm of possibilities and open ourselves to the miraculous. Immersing ourselves in God's Word and believing in His power to do the impossible is essential to living a life of faith. [01:20:09]

2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV): "For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Reflection: Consider a situation in your life where you feel stuck or limited. How can you apply faith to see beyond your current circumstances and trust in God's promises for a breakthrough?

Day 4: Overcoming Insecurities with God's Strength
Insecurities can often be the very areas where God wants to demonstrate His power. Trusting that God can use our perceived weaknesses to propel us into His destiny for our lives is crucial. By surrendering our insecurities to God, we allow Him to work through us in ways we might not have imagined. This process requires faith and a willingness to step out despite our doubts, trusting that God will use us for His purposes. [01:22:57]

2 Corinthians 12:9 (ESV): "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Reflection: Identify an insecurity that has been holding you back. How can you surrender this area to God and allow Him to demonstrate His power through it?

Day 5: Witnessing Miraculous Outcomes Through Faith
Personal testimonies of faith and healing remind us of God's power at work. Despite doubts and insecurities, stepping out in faith can lead to miraculous outcomes. Trusting in God's Spirit to work through us is essential as we hold onto the belief that nothing is impossible. By sharing and reflecting on these testimonies, we encourage ourselves and others to continue walking in faith and expecting the miraculous. [01:28:31]

James 5:16 (ESV): "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."

Reflection: Recall a time when you witnessed or heard about a miraculous outcome. How can this testimony inspire you to step out in faith and trust God for the impossible in your own life?

Quotes

Lord, I pray that as this word goes out, God, that it won't just be a thing that's from me or from my head or what I'm feeling, God, but I pray, Lord, that you would use me as a vessel, God, as an open vessel, God. May these words come straight from heaven and pierce into people's hearts like a two-edged sword. Lord, I thank you for what you're doing amongst your people. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen. Amen. So everything you need is within you. [01:03:59]

Peter prays earnestly that God's people will be filled according to the riches of God's glory. Now, this gets me thinking, what is the riches of God's glory? What, is there a measurement of this? How much is it? You know, that's sometimes how my brain thinks. How much is it? And I was thinking of God's glory and our moments in the Bible where we see God's glory. [01:05:07]

See, God spoke a natural process of seed and fruit from the very beginning. You sow an apple seed. What do you get? You sow banana. Does bananas have seeds? Yeah, they're a little small. You sow banana seeds. What do you get? Banana tree? Is it a tree or a bush? Is it a tree? Sorry. I wasn't a farmer. But seed. But I do understand faith. And faith has a correlation to seed. Your mouth has a correlation to seed. [01:08:54]

Throughout the Bible, we see it. We see it. People speak it. Speak and something happens. You know, there's a concept of seed and fruit designed by God. We can almost liken the Word of God to seed, the parable of the farmer. It talks about seed being thrown and planted on different soil, all right? You see in Matthew here, Jesus says, truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, go throw yourself into the sea and does not doubt in their heart, but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. [01:09:36]

In the midst of your struggle, in the midst of your strife and your unbelief and your doubt, speak the Word of God. Let your ears hear it. I am the righteousness of God. I am the head and not the tail. Surely His goodness and mercies shall follow me for the rest of my days. For if God is for me, then who can be against me? For in my weakness. He is made strong. His grace is sufficient for me. [01:11:36]

There are some assignments that God can only do with your left hand. With your left hand. See what you thought might've been a disability was actually an ability that God birthed on the inside of you to see his purposes outworked on the earth. So don't look at yourself and say, I can never amount to anything because the gifts and the unique talents that God has given you was God ordained that only you could go to the king's palace and say, I've got some food for you. [01:17:28]

What you thought was a disability was an ability for God to see his purposes outworked in the earth. See Moses, the guy that was commanded to go to Pharaoh and say, let my people go. He had a stutter, a speech impediment, but he was not going to go. So he was going to go and see the king's palace. See, don't look at someone else's ability and think that you will never measure up. [01:18:14]

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen. This is that invisible, invisible power. Faith. Faith is the open door to possibility. For it is by faith. That impossible moves to possible. It is by faith. Not sure yet? Hebrews chapter 11. It lists biblical characters that stepped into the realm of possible. [01:19:12]

By faith, Enoch was taken away. So that he did not see death. Verse 7. By Noah being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear and prepared an ark for the saving of his household. Verse 8. By Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive an inheritance. Verse 11. By faith, Sarah herself. Also received strength to conceive seed. And she bore a child when she was past the age. Because she judged him faithful who had promised. [01:21:05]

The very insecurity that you think you're like, oh, I'm not, I can't really talk to people. I can't, I don't even have like two, two accents. I have Zimbabwean and Australian. How could people even understand me? The very thing that you thought might've been insecurity, that's what God wants to use to propel you to his destiny over your life. Because you have authentic power on the inside of you. [01:23:26]

And speak the word of God over your lives, your family, your church, your schools, your workplaces, and whatever spaces and places we enter into. Sow the seed and believe in faith and have hope for what God wants to do in your life. Because you have the spirit of God on the inside of you. I want the worship team to come up. [01:24:27]

And I don't share this testimony to uplift me or say that I'm amazing or try and promote myself anyway. But I share this testimony because I want to encourage you, church, that despite the insecurity and despite the mountains and the things that are in front of you, come on, this is the season of nothing is impossible.
