"Come to me all who labor and are heavy-laden and I will give you rest take my yoke upon you and learn from me so this is a yoke of what Jesus teaches how we are to live the kinds of things he has taught us here and the implications for our lives are a yoke that we should carry bare for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls because my yoke is easy so the things that he teaches that he puts on our shoulders as a yoke are easy and the burden that we're pulling is light." [00:01:30]

"The gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction and those who enter by it are many for the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life and those who enter by it are few I use the colors so that you would see the correspondence gate is wide gate is narrow same word for gate opposite words are wide and narrow the way is easy the way is hard same word for ways they were fillet easy meaning roomy and not hedged in and difficult like when you're riding in a mountain and the road gets really narrow and scary." [00:02:28]

"Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom so these are a description of those tribulations here and that's the hard way many many obstacles many tribulations and then this way leads to destruction this way leads to life this is eternal loss this is eternal life and then finally those who enter by it or many those who find it are few now here's something that jumps out to me all those parallels are what I would expect those contrasts except in this last green pair you have enter those who enter by it are many and here you have those who find it are few." [00:03:53]

"Maybe the narrow gate means you get in and you get in on this road and you don't bring a lot with you this is a simple this is a simple path and I bring in your whole household the son of man has no place to lay his lay his head the third thing I thought of is it's harder to spot like if you're look if you're walking around here and this is there's miles and miles of fence and there's this one gate and it's really tiny you could walk for a long time and never see it." [00:06:31]

"The gate of the world is obvious I mean the world beckons us from every side right whereas the the narrow gate is just Jesus I am the way the truth and the life nobody can come to the Father but by me I'm dead there's just one solitary narrow road over here you got a thousand options for how you can go to hell it's hard to spot and maybe that's why the word fine shows up here instead of the word enter at least that's that was the sequence of thought that went through my mind few there be that find it because it's it's not easy to find." [00:07:49]

"Until we are born again until our eyes are open to see Christ for who he is his way looks very unappealing it's just so unrepresentative of everything we know it's just so singular and narrow and therefore it's hard if if our if our mind and a heart is out of step with Jesus everything that comes our way is is difficult to bear but if we go back here and we realize what has gone before when when the son chooses to reveal the father to us and we see that we have a father in heaven who is Lord of Heaven and Earth." [00:09:16]

"Jesus has all things handed over to him by the father and that he is gentle and lowly that that constellation of beautiful persons a father all authoritative and caring about children a friend Jesus and a savior who has all things subjected to him and yet is gentle and lowly what that means is that all of these hard obstacles that get in our way don't seem hard anymore in other words Jesus is right there underneath to lift us up or to lift the burdens off of us so not only do you have Jesus underneath lifting burdens and becoming beautiful." [00:10:25]

"Peter says look Jesus we've left everything and followed you so we stripped down walk through the narrow gate and we're on the hard way oh poor us right what then will we have and Jesus said to them truly I say to you in in the new world when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne you who have followed me will also sit on twelve Thrones you couldn't sit on the thrones of the world Peter you're talking about sacrifice just a few years out and you sit on the thrones of the world judging the twelve tribes of Israel." [00:11:21]

"Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands in other words you think it's hard you gets hard for my namesake will receive a hundredfold and eternal life what's the point of talking like that the point of talking like that is your sacrifices are small they're small that's why David Livingstone and Hudson Taylor both after lives of great sacrifice said I never made a sacrifice the yoke has been easy the burden has been light even though of course there have been real hardships along the way." [00:12:26]

"I had to make a choice to walk through a narrow gate that's very unpopular in the world these things have been very small very very small compared to eternal life and a hundredfold recompense so I think yes the yoke is still easy and the burden is still light even though the way can be quite troubled." [00:12:45]
