well may the lord give us this evening his worth and may he give us hearts and souls that can receive it for our good the speaking of the word of Christ and of the kingdom of God comes to us as a living substance as something that we can take into our minds and it will actually have a life of its own [00:00:16]

when we study the Word of God we take the order of the kingdom into our own souls through our thinking and through our feeling that order comes into our own Souls now that's true of any kind of study and I don't want to get launched into that tonight but it's very important to understand [00:01:18]

memorizing Scripture is wisdom and if you do this you will find an incredible power entering into your life and now just this this may help you memorization involves three things concentrate, repetition and understanding and it isn't like you do one first in the next one that's just those three ounces [00:02:06]

the kingdom of God is a hidden realm and your life as one who is identified with Jesus exists in that hidden realm and from the natural point of view you cannot know what your life is and see that's one of the problems with the human race is they think they can know that and they think they can take control of it [00:06:21]

the secret of human life is precisely that the human being is meant to be involved by God and until they find that indwelling and become an abiding place for the Living God they will never know who they are and of course we will never know that fully until we step through into the full life of God [00:06:58]

for whoever wishes to save his life will lose it that's the common human attitude I'm going to save my life I'm going to figure it out and I'm going to save it but whoever loses his life for my sake shall find it so whoever gives up their life into his life and his life is experienced and lived in the kingdom of God [00:07:30]

therefore we have been buried with him through baptism unto death in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the father so we too might walk in newness of life our life is self-initiating self-sustaining self-directing power that's what life is when your goldfish dies [00:09:59]

when we are buried with Christ in his death we accept his death as the end of our life then we are able to walk in newness of life now my theme as I said is the kingdom of God as the basis for death to sell a few more verses here's verse 6 knowing this that our old self was crucified with him [00:11:01]

when we step into the new life then we have the actual possibility actual resources that can enable us to step free from sin that's what is given to us in this new life because we have lost the burden of running the world on our own we've assigned that to God we've accepted that [00:11:32]

acknowledge him in all our ways we need to risk ourselves and put what we're doing and what we are on the line where if God doesn't come through we're lost now that's the place where you understand more clearly than anything else what it means to give up your life is when you are putting something out there [00:13:44]

she said Billy you can look at me because I'm not going to say anything bad to you I want to forgive you and I want to tell you that of the terrible life you've lived you now have the opportunity of giving your life to God and ending in the grace of God and she said I forgive you [00:17:04]

what she experienced the kingdom of God in its power coming upon her see when we forgive it's always because God has enabled us to do it but if we don't put into it what we have God will not meet us it's our step forward Jane reminded us as we were talking about that of Corrie ten Boom [00:17:29]
