Trusting God means surrendering your own understanding and control, even when the path ahead is unclear or uncomfortable. It is a call to let go of your need to have all the answers and to allow God to guide and shape your journey, knowing that His wisdom far surpasses your own. When you trust the process, you open yourself to transformation and growth, rather than simply seeking quick solutions or immediate results. [01:17:04]
Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you are struggling to let go of control? How can you actively surrender this to God today and trust Him with the outcome?
God is committed to completing the good work He has begun in you, and His promises are certain even when the process feels slow or hidden. You may not always see immediate results, but you can have confidence that God is shaping you for His purposes, using every season—including waiting and difficulty—to bring about His intended outcome. Embracing this truth brings hope and perseverance, knowing that your journey is not in vain. [01:19:28]
Philippians 1:6 (ESV)
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Reflection: Where have you felt discouraged or impatient in your spiritual journey? How can you remind yourself today that God is still at work and will finish what He started in you?
Difficult seasons and challenges are not just obstacles but opportunities for God to develop perseverance, character, and hope within you. As you endure and lean on God through suffering or change, you are being refined and strengthened, equipped to stand firm in future storms and to carry hope into every situation. This process is not meant to break you, but to form you into someone who reflects God’s glory and resilience. [01:30:10]
Romans 5:3-4 (ESV)
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
Reflection: Think of a recent challenge or hardship you’ve faced. In what ways can you see God using it to build perseverance or character in you?
True transformation comes when you release your own agenda and allow God, the Master Potter, to shape your life according to His design. This surrender may feel uncomfortable or even confusing at times, but it is in trusting God’s hands that you are formed into something beautiful and purposeful. Even when you don’t understand the process, you can rest in the assurance that God’s intentions for you are good and that He is always present, working for your ultimate good. [01:34:28]
Jeremiah 18:6 (ESV)
“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.”
Reflection: Where are you resisting God’s shaping in your life? What would it look like to fully surrender and trust His process for you today?
God’s thoughts and ways are far above your own, and He often works in ways you do not expect or understand. Rather than focusing solely on the destination or comparing your journey to others, you are invited to celebrate the small wins and trust that God is actively forming and transforming you. Embracing the journey with gratitude and community allows you to see God’s faithfulness in every step, even when the process is slow or different from your plans. [01:38:40]
Isaiah 55:8-9 (ESV)
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Reflection: What is one “small win” or sign of God’s faithfulness you can celebrate today, even if you haven’t yet reached your desired outcome?
Life with God is not just about reaching a destination, but about embracing the journey and the process He takes us through. Trusting in the Lord with all our heart means surrendering our own understanding and allowing Him to shape us, even when the path is unclear or slow. Like a master craftsman, God is intentional and patient, working in us for transformation rather than mere transaction. Each day, He gives us assignments—opportunities to be used for His purposes, to pray, to intercede, to bless others, and to grow in character. The process may feel hidden, uncomfortable, or slow, but it is in these seasons that God is most at work, forming us into the people He has called us to be.
We often desire the promise without the process, wanting immediate results or fulfillment of God’s word over our lives. Yet, the journey is essential for our growth. The gifts and callings God places in us are not just for church, but for all of life, and it takes time to discover how He wants to use us. Waiting on the Lord is not passive resignation, but an active hope and expectation that He is working, even when we cannot see it. Comparing ourselves to others only breeds frustration; instead, we are called to run our own race, trusting that God’s timing and process for us is unique and purposeful.
Suffering and challenges are part of the process, producing perseverance, character, and hope. These refining seasons are not meant to break us, but to deepen our roots and strengthen our faith. Community is vital in these times; we are not meant to journey alone, but to support and pray for one another. Surrendering control to God, like clay in the potter’s hands, allows Him to shape us according to His design, not ours. Even when we make mistakes or try to rush ahead, God patiently waits for us, always ready to continue His work in us.
God is a finisher—He always completes what He starts. We may not understand His ways, but we can trust that we are not forgotten. The process is proof that God is active in our lives, orchestrating even the smallest details for our good and His glory. As we celebrate progress, not just outcomes, and build depth before seeking scale, we learn to enjoy the journey, recognizing that every step is significant in the Kingdom of God.

It's the process and the journey to where I'm trying to get to. And I'm not the most patient person in the world, and I think the Lord's still teaching me patience. But I'm getting there. I'm getting better. But it's if. If you interrupt what God's doing too soon, it can actually sometimes ruin the outcome, or we can get in the way of what the Lord's doing. What I've seen of the Lord, he really takes shortcuts. Now, what I mean by that is the Lord's not rushing things. He's in for the long game. And when I say the long game for you guys, sometimes we want to do that. But there's a long game here. And during the process of you journeying with me, things are going to change and move as you go. But I'm going to use you. I'm going to mold you, I'm going to change you. And it's a good thing. [01:21:08] (24 seconds) #LongGameTransformation
I've learned to thank God for His watch and not mine, that he tells time much different than me. But I'm also grateful in the midst of that that he loves you and I enough to not allow us to stay where we're at. Because who you are becoming is vital. [01:27:32] (19 seconds) #GratefulForGodsTiming
Sometimes I think the Lord's more interested in forming us than fixing everything for us. Because for my life, I've gone through some really horrendous and tough things, like we all have. And out of all of these, I've hung on to God and believed God and. And he's formed me through those processes. [01:32:49] (16 seconds) #FormedThroughTrials
Celebrate progress, not just outcomes. And I talked about this before. You need to. Whatever's happening in life, celebrate the small wins you have. Don't minimise them. Because everything's important in the Kingdom of God. Every detail is important, important to the Lord as we're tuning. [01:42:29] (18 seconds) #CelebrateSmallWins
