2. "It is because of your not okayness and not because of my not okayness that Jesus had to come in the first place... because we're not okay." [03:07]

3. "I never saw this and I just had to trust that God you know what's best for me you know what's best for my future and I submit that to you and he's calling us not to be nicer he's calling us to surrender and when you surrender things start to change." [22:09]

4. "True surrender to God means giving Jesus control of our entire life... some people aren't giving God their life, they're giving him a compartmentalization of their life." ([13:09])

5. "Salvation and true life is found when we surrender. It's not a loss, it's a gain. Surrender is where salvation is found, surrender is safety, surrender is true provision, surrender is definitely a gain not a loss." [30:57]

6. "Surrender is something that's not easy to do... we have to drop our pride and our self-help mentality in order to truly surrender... I'm not okay that I can't fix this... I need help... I'm going to submit to an Authority that is over me." [34:09]

7. "If you are ever one of the people in this room that have the story of you used to walk with Jesus and you walked away from him and you did your life and you ran away from him and you got in the mud you got in the dirt you got all nasty and you felt far from God but something happened in your life where you said I want to come back to the Lord when you came back you met the Lord with grace and mercy you didn't have to clean yourself up the father looks upon you and he is pursuing you he pursues you into the dark woods he pursues you into the mud he pursues you into the bad habits into the addictions why because he is pursuing that which is his and he wants to meet you with compassion and love and mercy and Grace this is the picture of God the Father who sees his son and he has compassion." #!!25:18!!#

8. "He ran and embraced him he ran I don't have time to unpack what all of that means but in that culture men don't run men of his stature do not run and so the picture the imagery that that is given here he would have had to pull up his his tunic and he would have had to run after his son he would have embarrassed himself it would have called Shame upon himself to do this act but yet he did he just doesn't care what anybody else says because he's pursuing his son and the truth is he loves you so much that he is pursuing you he will run and embrace you right where you are he's not sitting on the porch saying well when they're ready to come to me they will he's coming after you listen God the father isn't waiting for you to clean yourself up he stepped out of Heaven to come because you can never clean yourself up he died on the cross for you and for me because he wanted to meet us right where we are and he wanted to give us that which we cannot have for ourselves he ran and he embraced his son and this morning the father is running after some of you and he's ready to embrace you if you were to turn to him." #!!26:31!!#
