Sermon Summary

Sermon Clips

Peter's message is clear: suffering is an inevitable part of the Christian journey, but it is not without purpose or reward. We are called to live lives of submission and excellence, not as a means of avoiding suffering, but as a testament to our faith. [00:04:14]

Courage that when you suffer for your faith you need to First have courage he says that you are blessed and the reason is because Jesus tells us in the Beatitudes blessed are you who endure insults falsely on God's account for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you rejoice and be great for great is your reward in heaven. [00:06:23]

If you're going to fear somebody it says there Peter says there that you are to fear Jesus he is the one that you need to sanctify as Sovereign he's the one that you need to sanctify as Lord it says there but in your hearts honor Christ the lord as holy. [00:08:09]

You make sure that you don't give men an ad homonym argument do you know what an ad homonim argument is it literally means an argument against the man that they don't disagree with you because of your message your words can be polemically sound but if you are not ironically Winsome. [00:10:32]

Peter says that Jesus introduced us to God by being willing to suffer and in the same way we have been put here on this Earth we have been left here after our salvation and bapti baptism we have been left here to bring men to Christ and to the knowledge of God. [00:14:48]

Even though Jesus died he was raised from the dead, Victorious he conquered death he defeated Satan he defeated sin and then he's going to say that Noah in his day suffered for what he did not do only upholding the standard of God and he also Rose above judgment he won. [00:17:17]

The point is that you endure suffering like Jesus he died but he lived and he is Victorious over Satan forever and forever and he goes and makes Pro proclamation to these that are in prison that he has won and so you suffer and you die well because we win because our captain won. [00:34:42]

We Suffer Well taking the gospel into the world not being not uh shering the responsibility because of a fear that has gripped us but we bring men to the knowledge of Jesus Christ we put ourself In Harm's Way in a in a tough day so that others might come to know him. [00:41:04]

God I pray that you would make us a group that does not fear but is courageous. I pray that we would see our example in Christ and also the example of Noah and that we would be willing to Suffer Well for righteousness sake even if we don't deserve it knowing that this life is a blip on the radar of Eternity. [00:42:50]

I pray as a as a collection of Believers in this room that you would give us courage that maybe we have never had before God that we would take these cautions to heart God make us an army that goes away from this place as carriers of the Gospel message supporting one another knowing that we are not alone. [00:43:58]

Be courageous you are blessed be courageous be cautious don't you be a bad testimony have the criteria of Jesus follow him suffering for what you did not do though you were innocent and you be comforted Jesus won Noah won and corresponding to Noah you and I are going to win as well. [00:39:17]

We are to be like Christ in this I mean if you want an illustration of what this is like it's like being on a battlefield and you're in the trenches with the other men but there's a guy that's out there in the open and he's and he's he is in in bad trouble and he's not going to be able to get back unless somebody goes to get him. [00:15:21]
