In this sermon, I emphasized the importance of spiritual purity and the pursuit of God's glory. I shared how God desires to take us, as a church, into His glory, which begins with us reaching a state of spiritual purity. I urged the congregation to seek purification in God, to allow Him to make us new. I also discussed the ongoing season of consecration, which involves prayer, fasting, and abstaining from carnal indulgences. I stressed the importance of having a spiritual mind, desiring the things of God, and not getting lost in worldly desires. I shared my personal experience of God asking me to turn off a football game, illustrating the need to prioritize God over worldly distractions. I also prophesied restoration of marriages and families in the congregation.
In the second part of the sermon, I encouraged the congregation to continue seeking God, reminding them that He is always present. I urged them to lay themselves on the altar, to die to their flesh daily, and to desire only what God has for them. I prayed for a restoration of spiritual purity in the church and a return to our first love for God. I differentiated between the presence and the glory of God, expressing a desire for the latter. I also declared our refusal to buckle to Satan's agenda, reminding the congregation that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. I shared a vision a friend had about God destroying the enemy's plans for my life, encouraging the congregation to walk in God's plans for their lives. Finally, I emphasized the importance of seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and not carrying burdens that God did not intend for us to carry.
