1. "And what I'm hearing on the inside is just as you are entering into the season of the holidays, so also are you entering into a season of change. Now here with the spirit of grace, here's the mirror. Just like you're putting away the old dishes, so as to bring out the new dishes and you're moving the old things to put up the new like that fine China you put out and you put away and you only bring it out on the holidays. God says, I'm bringing you out."

2. "If you ain't dead, that this is what that means. Your job ain't over. You ain't reached the end of your path and your potential has not been exhausted. So if you could inhale, let's do it again. No coughing, man. That's cool. Y 'all are the right group. So today I want to talk to you about the title of this morning's message is The Purpose. And I think this will be a good one."

3. "The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. That one sentence right there helps us to define what is truly a purpose. Because if the purpose of life is to give away the gift that is in you and is you, then hear me when I say this because I talk to a lot of young people and my wife and I have this like desire to help young people find their purpose."

4. "There's a man you've heard me talk to you about him named Peter Daniels, who was an illiterate bricklayer and had believed all the lies and labels that everyone had placed on him. So he thought he wasn't worth anything. He could never do anything. He could never have anything. And then one day he got saved at a Billy Graham crusade and he heard Billy Graham say at the cross, all men are equal. The way he interpreted that was to believe that if I'm equal, if at the cross, the foot of the cross, all men are equal, then that means I'm equal to all men. I can do whatever any man has done."

5. "A sense of purpose makes you stronger than your situation. So it doesn't matter where you are. It doesn't matter whether you're enjoying good times by God's ordination or you're in prison. By man's determination, your sense of purpose makes you stronger than that situation. So Paul was able to say, I'm in prison, but my imprisonment has a purpose. And what is that purpose? For the sake of you Gentiles."

6. "Purpose is the prerequisite. Man. I should have had some Starbucks before church or something. You read it. Say it again so I can get that word. If you don't know purpose, you'll soon lose hope. Because purpose is like an anchor for your hope. You know, this can't be the end because this is not my purpose. Paul knew his purpose was not to die in that particular prison."

7. "Don't lose hope in the middle of the process because God is preparing you for that which he has prepared for you. The Bible says it this way, God will perfect that which pertains to you. That which has to do with your calling, with your destiny, with fulfilling your purpose. If you won't give up, give in, and run away, God will perfect that which pertains to you."

8. "Hope cannot truly exist in a real way, a relevant way, without first having a sense of purpose. We have to know that we are people of purpose. None of us were born, born into mediocrity, insignificance. But this is why we, you know, the New Testament says don't compare ourselves among ourselves. Because when we begin to compare ourselves among ourselves, we begin to see others more important."

9. "Purpose is what gives hope its power because it tells you why you are hoping. More importantly, it tells you in whom you are hoping. And it helps you envision what lies on the other side of your struggles. That's right. It helps you envision what lies on the other side of what you're going through."

10. "If when you find your gift, your purpose becomes to give it away. So when you build your business, you don't build it for you. You build it to employ a dozen families. And change their lives. When you start your ministry, you don't do it so you can stand on a stage. You do it so you can infuse people with hope and love and tell them about Jesus Christ. Whatever you do, if you do it for others, money's the byproduct."
