1. "Our faith can't be tested if we don't have those times. So our faith has been tested and strengthened and just feeling this new resurgence of hope, you know, that God is going to not only do what we thought he was going to do, but he's going to do immeasurably greater than what we could think or imagine. That's a promise. So I'm just super pumped." [01:32] (24 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2. "Apart from understanding who God is, which, you know, we have such a finite understanding of who God is and how good he is. A couple of weeks ago, we talked about the goodness of God and how important it is to understand his goodness. Apart from that, that is the most important thing. That is foundational. Next to that is understanding your identity in Christ. That is so important." [04:15] (23 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

3. "If we truly understood who we were in Christ, we would be bringing the chaos in this world into order. If we truly understood it. So now I'm not saying like, this isn't to like, you know, poopoo anybody or whatever, because it's all, you know, we all forget. We all, it's like when we're in society, it's like we're swimming upstream, right?" [05:42] (26 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4. "When we establish our identity in those things, those things can get taken away in an instant. Again, they're not bad things, but they get taken away in an instant. And then who are you? Promising athlete, going to go, you know, whatever, go pro or something, career ending injury. Who are you? When we're faced with these things, we actually have to ask ourselves that question. Who am I?" [07:18] (26 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5. "When we truly find our identity in Christ, that is one thing that cannot be taken away from you. It cannot be taken away from you. If you stay in that place of understanding and striving after those things, it's one thing that you could stand on of who am I? Well, we're going to find out." 6. "When we're not living heavenly minded, when we're just living on this physical plane and just, just getting dragged along through life, we forget who we are in Christ. Thank you, Hook. That's a good illustration. We need to remember our identity in Christ. It will cause us to approach situations differently." [13:03] (23 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

7. "We need to know and remember who we are for the sake of those around us, and for ourselves. Firstly, we are a new creation. Second Corinthians 5, 17 says that you're a new creation. The old is gone. The new has come. When you receive Christ, you become a new creation. You're not just like a, you know, slap, I'm a Christian now. Yeah, you are, but you become a new creation." 8. "We are children of God. John 1, 12 through 13 says, Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or husband's will, but born of God. It's kind of crazy how we end up like our parents, you know? I'm good with that. My dad's awesome." 9. "We are the light of the world. You know, Jesus made a lot of I am statements in scripture, right? You know, I am the light of the world. I am the bread of life. I am the way, the truth, and the life. I am the good shepherd. All these I am statements, which is awesome because it's a throwback to when Moses was speaking to God. And he's like, who's speaking to me? And he says, I am." [34:21] (21 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

10. "We are human, and we will never cease to be human, and in this world, in this life, as we're figuring it out, as we're walking with God, as we're walking through sanctification, as we're becoming more and more like him, as we're choosing to image him, we are going to screw up all sorts of ways. We're going to mess up. We're going to say the wrong thing. We're going to hurt people. We're going to hurt ourselves. We're going to make stupid decisions."
