### Summary
Good morning, church. Today, we gather to reflect on the birth and purpose of the church, as described in Acts 2. This is a place for you and your family, a place where we can grow together in faith. We are grateful for the leadership of Pastor Lino, who is currently on vacation, and we pray for him daily. Today, I want to emphasize that each of us is unique and has been given our own "shoes" by God to walk our individual paths. We should not compare ourselves to others but live the life God has planned for us.
The church began with a promise—the promise of the Holy Spirit. This promise was given to those who believed in Jesus Christ and were instructed to stay and wait for its fulfillment. The Holy Spirit is the agent that gives birth to the church, and when we come to Christ, we become part of His family and His body. This morning, I want to highlight three key events: the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and being led by the Holy Spirit.
When we are baptized by the Holy Spirit, we are introduced to the body of Christ and become members of a new spiritual family. This means we no longer belong to ourselves but to one another and to God. The fullness of the Holy Spirit is evident through the fruit we bear, as described in Galatians 5:22-26. This fruit should be visible in our daily lives, in how we interact with our families, coworkers, and everyone around us.
Being led by the Holy Spirit means allowing Him to guide our decisions and actions. We must surrender control and let the Holy Spirit lead us in our personal lives, marriages, families, and businesses. This is crucial for living a life that reflects God's will and purpose.
The church has an eternal purpose: to share the gospel and impact people's eternity. We are responsible for spreading the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. This is not just a task for the church as a whole but for each individual believer. We must be intentional in sharing the gospel in our daily lives, whether at work, in our communities, or wherever God places us.
Finally, I encourage you to worship with conviction, not just out of tradition. Spend time in the "upper room"—a place of personal worship and prayer—so that when we gather as a community, our worship is genuine and spirit-filled. The purpose of the church is to preach the gospel and lead people to Christ. Let us be faithful to this calling and make a difference in our community and beyond.
