### Quotes for Outreach

1. "You know? You ever heard somebody say this to you? Are you happy? Yes, I'm happy. You should tell your face. Right? Like, you say you are, but you're not living like it. Right? You're not living like it. And a lot of us, listen, I think a lot of us have allowed the world or people or Satan or our own failures to lie to us about who we are and why we're here and what we're worth and what we can become and what we can do in Christ." 2. "The world may tell you that you have no future, but I am says that you have an amazing inheritance. The world may tell you that you're just like everybody else, that you are no different, that you're nothing special, but I am says that you are set apart. You are like branded, right? You are sealed by his Holy Spirit. You are provably his. So no matter what the world says about who you are, and no matter what Satan, Satan says about who you are, or your finances say about who you are, or your popularity, or your accomplishments, or your failures, or your bathroom scales say about who you are, those things don't decide who you are. Only I am, only I am gets to say who you are." [13:28](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

3. "If you find your value, if you find your identity, if you find your purpose in money or in success or in popularity or looks or your political party, that can take us straight to idolatry because those things, see, it's an idolater right there. But those things, they're not bad things, but those things, if we're not careful, can become like gods to us, like idols to us. And we begin to give our energy and our passion and our time to things that we should be giving those things to money that we should be saving for God." 4. "My purpose in life is not to be popular. My purpose in life is not to make a lot of money. My purpose in life is not to have more stuff. My purpose in life is not to be happy. My purpose in life is to reflect God to the world. That's why I exist. That's my purpose." [05:37](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

5. "So for the next several weeks, we're going to look at some truth about who we really are in Christ. And if you want to read ahead and get really smart and really be bored with the sermons, then go ahead. You can read the book of Ephesians because a lot of this is going to be coming out of the book of Ephesians. And I'll just give you like, this is gonna be like a sneak preview, okay? This is gonna be the little spoiler for you. All of this is from Ephesians chapter one." [10:47](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

### Quotes for Members

1. "You are the only one qualified to judge creation because you're the creator. So remind us over these next few weeks who we are in you. In your name we pray. Amen." [39:52](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

2. "This new identity is for everyone who is in Christ. In Christ. Let me hear you say those two words. In Christ. This is so important. This is a term we should use more often. Really. I mean, you know, Paul wrote half the New Testament, right? And do you know he never... Once used the word Christian. Not one time. The word Christian only shows up in the Bible three times. This is a big fat book, man. Three times the word Christian shows up. But this concept of being in Christ is everywhere in the New Testament." 3. "So David represented Israel. And his victory, was credited, right? Was imputed to the people he represented. So the whole nation of Israel won this whole battle with one guy and one rock. So you could say that Israel was in David that day, right? Their lives were in him. Their hopes were in him. Their future was in him. Wimby represents San Antonio. So his wins are San Antonio's wins. David represented Israel. His win was their win, because they were with him. And kind of in the same way, Christ represents all of us who put our faith in him, who put our lives in him." 4. "And I think it's just really important for us to understand that repenting is not just saying, I'm sorry, and trying to sin less. How many have kids? How many have more than one kid? Okay. And remember when you would say, you say you're sorry to your sister. Sorry. Sorry. Right? That's not repentance. That's not repentance. Okay? That's another sermon. That's not repentance. Repentance is like a turning away. Right? A really good picture of repentance is to say, I see how this path leads. Right? I see this leads to me being alone and rejected and distant from God and separated from people. I don't want this. I don't want this. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to turn. Right? I'm going to repent. And I'm going to start going this way because I see this way leads to life and sainthood and reconciliation with God and reconciliation with people." 5. "So here's the disciples. Well, who's this advocate? Why would we want him when we've had you as our advocate? So here it is, John 14, 16. Jesus says, I will ask the Father and he will give you another advocate who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit who leads into all truth and the world can't receive him because it isn't looking for him and it doesn't recognize him. But you know him because he lives with you now. Who's he talking about? Who's he talking about? He's talking about him, right? He's talking about the person of Jesus. He's with you now and later he will be in you. So verse 20, he says, when I'm raised to life again, you will know that I am in the Father and you are in me and I am in you. This is the secret. This is the secret. When you were in Christ, Christ is in you." [22:29](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

6. "And then it's having, it's believing that so much. Right? It's not just believing it. It's faith. It's believing it so much that you turn away from your old life and start to follow him. And that faith, that belief, Romans 10 says, saves you. And it makes you right with God. And now you're in Christ. And all of that stuff becomes your new true identity. And you are a faithful saint. And you are blessed and united and blameless and accepted and redeemed and forgiven, reconciled with God, reconciled with people. And you have this amazing inheritance in heaven. And you are all of those things because Jesus is all of those things. And now he's in you." [35:15](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)

7. "So how does it work? How does it work? How do we get there? How does all of his stuff become all of our stuff? And here's the key to that. You being in Christ means that Christ is in you. That's the secret. That's the secret. That's how it works. That's how you can have his victory. That's how you have his goodness. That's how you have his joy and his mercy and his peace. That's how you have all of his stuff imputed to you is that being in Christ means Christ is in you." [21:02](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip | Download vertical captioned clip)
