### Quotes for Outreach

1. "I don't think Jesus died on the cross and rose again and the spirit of God gave you gifts so that you can sit in a seat sometimes on a Sunday and sing some songs and listen to a sermon. And I don't think your next step is, Oh, I'm going to open the door for somebody though. That's important. Or park a car though. That's important. I don't think that's the ultimate calling in your life." [15:22](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2. "Whenever I used to hear somebody talk about my ministry, my calling, my responsibility is to share the gospel. So I'm like, Hey, I believe that I get it. I can even agree with it biblically, but I'm not going to do it. I don't, I'm not going to do that. I mean, I grew up in church, grew up hearing the gospel and I believed it and I actually cared that people were going to die and go to hell separated from God. But I never did anything about it." 3. "Jesus said, Hey, go wait in Jerusalem. The spirit of God is going to come and he's going to give you power to be my witnesses. And I'm like, do I have that power? Do I have the power of God to be witness? Because my natural proclivity is not to do, it's not even to do this. Like I never thought I'd be talking in front of people." 4. "Jesus went from a good conversation to a God conversation. Now they're talking about worshiping on a mountain versus Jerusalem. Like she's got some religion in her, right? Like everybody's got something. There's something they can bring to the God conversation, but Jesus switches a good conversation to a God conversation, but now he takes it to the gospel conversation because she says something about salvation." 5. "Most people who call themselves Christians have never had a conversation about Jesus with somebody who doesn't believe in Jesus. And so we're just relying on the dude on the stage. Y'all do it for me. You do my ministry for me too much J Mark. Y'all do my ministry for me. We'll pay you to do it. Are you not entertained?" [36:39](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

### Quotes for Members

1. "I realized I'm frustrated with our people, but it's really my fault because I didn't equip them well. And so this is what I know our people's ministry is. And it's yours too. If you're a follower of Jesus, second Corinthians chapter five, verse 18, Paul was writing to a local church and he said this, all of this, this gospel we're talking about is from God who reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. That God was not counting people's sins against them, right? But he was reconciling the world to himself through us. He has committed to us the message of reconciliation." 2. "I told her, I don't think Jesus died on the cross and rose again and the spirit of God gave you gifts so that you can sit in a seat sometimes on a Sunday and sing some songs and listen to a sermon. And I don't think your next step is, Oh, I'm going to open the door for somebody though. That's important. Or park a car though. That's important. I don't think that's the ultimate calling in your life. Like my job as a pastor is to equip you to do your ministry. That's what the Bible says. I, my job is to equip the people to do the work of ministry, but I'm like, it's not just for an hour or two on a Sunday morning. That's not your primary ministry." 3. "Look, it's a wild thing when we're willing to get into a conversation with people. I mean, this woman said something that we should be asked fairly often. Why would somebody like you talk to somebody like me? But most Christians are talking to somebody. Why would somebody who's not like us, why would somebody that's not like me talk to somebody like me? We're only talking to people like us and how can the world out there that doesn't know Jesus, they live a different sexual ethic. They look differently than us. They believe differently than us. How in the world are they going to have a conversation about Jesus if we just won't be willing to ask him for water?" [35:12](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4. "Jesus had a good conversation that turned into a God conversation that turned into a gospel conversation. Let's get my hair cut. I intentionally want to get my hair cut by people who don't know Jesus. I like to go to restaurants and get at the same table with somebody who doesn't know Jesus. I try to practice things around people who don't know Jesus. Like these become my rhythms and I'm getting my haircut one time. It's a couple of years. I was with this girl and so she's cut my hair every two weeks. I sit in her chair." [37:20](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5. "I believe there are people here and today's the day. Like this is the day for you. Somebody brought you here, invited you here. Some reason you came here is the spirit of God working on your spirit. That's why you're here. And this is the day where you're going to go from, hey, I've heard about him. I understand some of it, but I've resisted and rejected Jesus really being the Lord of my life until today. I resisted and rejected, but now I'm ready to believe and receive. John chapter one says, whoever believes in him and receives him, he gives the right to become a child of God." [45:49](Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
