In a city where less than one percent of the population is Christian, the urgency to share the gospel is paramount. The reality that many will meet God as their Holy Judge rather than their Father drives a passionate commitment to evangelism and prayer. This urgency should inspire us to fervently pray for the salvation of our communities and to actively share the gospel. And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'"

Acts 16 shows that God uses His people to speak for Him and to suffer for Him, leading to the expansion of His kingdom. Our suffering can be a powerful testimony to others and a means through which God works His purposes. Good morning, everyone, and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. It's a blessing to be here with you today. I bring greetings from Calvary Baptist Church in St. John's, Newfoundland, and Labrador, where our small but mighty congregation of 180 people, with an average age of 28, gathers. Our church is diverse, with 19 different nationalities, and we are committed to planting 17 churches over the next decade. Your church has been a great partner and friend to us, and we owe you a debt of love that we can never repay.

Today, I want to share the urgency of our mission. In my city, less than one percent of the population is Christian. If Jesus were to return today, over 248,000 people would meet God as their Holy Judge, not as their Father. This drives my passion for the gospel and my desperate prayers for the salvation of my fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. I ask you to join me in praying for our province, our city, and our ministry.

In Acts 16, we see a new calling with the same message. God uses His people to speak for Him, to suffer for Him, and to see His kingdom expand. Paul and Silas, after being falsely accused and imprisoned, prayed and sang hymns to God at midnight.
