In a world swirling with confusion and shifting definitions of right and wrong, it is vital to remember that God is not the source of chaos or disorder. Instead, He brings clarity, peace, and order to our lives, just as He established order in creation and in the rhythms of nature. When confusion arises—whether in our identity, our circumstances, or our understanding of truth—we can be assured that God’s presence brings peace and direction. If you find yourself uncertain or anxious, seek God’s order and let His peace rule in your heart, knowing that confusion is not from Him. [01:00:33]
1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV)
For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
Reflection: Where in your life are you experiencing confusion or disorder, and how can you invite God’s peace and order into that specific area today?
Knowing who you are in Christ is foundational to living with spiritual authority. Just as Jesus knew His identity as the Son of God and walked in the authority given to Him, so too are believers called to understand and walk in the authority delegated to them by Christ. When you are secure in your identity as a child of God, you can stand firm against the enemy’s lies and act boldly in faith, impacting the world around you. Authority is not reserved for a select few; it is the inheritance of every believer who knows and embraces their true identity in Christ. [01:03:54]
Matthew 28:18-19 (NKJV)
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you have not been walking in the authority Christ has given you, and what step can you take today to begin living out your God-given identity?
From a young age, Jesus was confident in His identity and purpose, declaring that He must be about His Father’s business. Even when challenged or misunderstood, He did not waver or feel the need to prove Himself. In the same way, believers are called to rest in the assurance of their identity as children of God, not seeking validation from others or succumbing to the enemy’s accusations. When you know who you are in Christ, you can walk in confidence, regardless of external pressures or doubts. [01:07:28]
Luke 2:48-49 (NKJV)
So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.” And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
Reflection: In what situations do you feel tempted to prove your worth or identity to others, and how can you instead rest in the confidence of who you are in Christ?
The devil’s strategy is to make us question our identity and worth, just as he tempted Jesus in the wilderness by challenging His sonship. Satan even manipulates scripture to sow doubt, but Jesus responded with the truth of God’s Word, standing firm in His identity. As believers, we must be deeply rooted in scripture, allowing the Holy Spirit to remind us of God’s truth when the enemy attacks. Knowing and declaring God’s Word is our greatest defense against lies and accusations about who we are. [01:16:00]
Matthew 4:3-4 (NKJV)
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”
Reflection: What specific lie about your identity has the enemy tried to make you believe, and what scripture can you declare today to stand against it?
A church or believer who knows their true identity in Christ is a powerful force against the kingdom of darkness. When you understand and embrace your authority as a child of God, you can boldly pray, serve, and minister, knowing that heaven backs you up. This boldness is not arrogance, but a humble confidence rooted in God’s promises and presence. The Holy Spirit empowers you to walk in this authority, to reject the lies of the enemy, and to impact your family, community, and world for Christ. [01:24:16]
Ephesians 1:18-19 (NKJV)
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.
Reflection: What is one bold step of faith you can take today, trusting in the authority and power God has given you as His child?
This morning, the focus is on the unshakable truth that God is our provider, not just in finances, but in every area of our lives—healing, deliverance, peace, and vindication. God’s very nature is to provide, and He is present in every circumstance, ready to meet every need. We are called to seek His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that He will supply what we lack. This is not just a promise for some, but for all who call on His name and make Jesus Lord of their lives.
A key challenge is to move beyond a shallow or confused understanding of who we are as believers. In a world filled with confusion—especially about identity—many Christians are unsure of their true identity in Christ. Just as people lined up for a “real ID” at the DMV, not realizing they already had it, many believers don’t realize the authority and identity they already possess as children of God. God is not the author of confusion, but of peace and order. When we know who we are in Christ, we can walk in the authority He has delegated to us.
Authority comes from knowing our identity. Jesus, even as a child, knew He was the Son of God and never wavered in that knowledge. The enemy’s primary tactic is to make us question our identity, just as he tempted Jesus in the wilderness: “If you are the Son of God, prove it.” But Jesus didn’t need to prove anything—He stood firm in the truth of who He was, countering every lie with the Word of God. Likewise, we must be rooted in Scripture, not just listening to any voice or teaching, but knowing the Word for ourselves.
This identity and authority are not reserved for pastors or “super-Christians,” but for every believer who spends time with God, learns His Word, and walks in the Spirit. Parents are called to model this daily pursuit of God for their children, not by force, but by example. The enemy wants a powerless, confused church, but when we know who we are, we become a force that shakes the kingdom of darkness. We don’t have to prove our identity; we simply walk in it, knowing that God has given us access, authority, and the right to approach Him as our Father.
Matthew 3:16–4:11 (NKJV) — > 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
> 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
> 1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
> 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
> 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
> 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”
> 5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
> 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”
> 7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”
> 8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
> 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
> 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
> 11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
2. 1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV)
> For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
3. Luke 2:41–50 (NKJV)
> 41 His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover.
> 42 And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.
> 43 When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it;
> 44 but supposing Him to have been in the company, they went a day’s journey, and sought Him among their relatives and acquaintances.
> 45 So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him.
> 46 Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.
> 47 And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.
> 48 So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.”
> 49 And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
> 50 But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.
Because a church without authority is a powerless church, and a powerless church doesn't change culture and society, and a powerless church doesn't impact the kingdom, and a powerless church doesn't populate heaven. But a church that knows whose they are and who they are is a church that makes the devil shake. [01:24:16] (26 seconds) #PowerfulChurchKnowsIdentity
I don't need to prove myself that I'm a son of God in the same way that Jesus didn't need to prove to them he was the son of God in the same way that none of you need to ask my girls, show me your birth certificate to know that you're David's daughter. You don't got to question it. They don't walk around with a paper that says, look, that's my dad. They don't need to. They know. And not only do they know I'm their dad, they know that if they call, I show up. And they know if somebody does something, we're going to have a conversation. And they walk in that. We have an authority because God is our father, and he has given us that authority. The devil hates it when we know who we are. [01:26:25] (18 seconds) #AuthorityFromGodOurFather
When we truly know who we are in christ we can walk in authority when we truly know who we are in christ we can walk in authority. [01:42:44] (18 seconds) #RealIDIsOurIdentityInChrist
What lie has the devil told you about who you are? Has the devil put that thought in your mind, well, you're not truly saved? Has he put the thought in your mind, well, it doesn't apply to you because you're not called to full-time ministry or it doesn't apply to you because you've gone through this or you've gone through that or it doesn't apply, you're too broken to be healed, you're too this, you're too that? What lie has he spoken about your identity? And today let us understand that he who was given authority has delegated it to us and if you have made Jesus the Lord of your life this is who this applies to.
