"An elementary kid that's just one story of many think about that how would you feel if that was your loved one we have LGBT people doing the same thing because look at how many states are actively working to strip the rights that we are all supposed to have equally removed from them." [00:12:45]

"Discern are we in the right place do you have the privilege to be able to do that because not many people do think of how many federal funding programs that people depend on that have been stripped recently and they have no one else to help them." [00:14:38]

"This is the place that you're supposed to hear it from because you know that hippie that we followed in Jesus kind of reminds us to do that we're supposed to care and I am happy that this congregation in general does its part as Christians you welcome people who come in through our doors even if they've never been here before." [00:14:36]

"Everything we have done in the last four years has been for a purpose and it has not been because the pastor wants to do it because think about it do I really want added work on my plate would you want the added work most of us would choose not to have that but when I was ordained when I made those vows it was to follow Jesus." [00:16:30]

"Sometimes that fear that comes from medicine misinformation deter us from doing the work that we are supposed to do next week we'll have a guest speaker and she is she works for the center for concern but she is also one of the founders and leaders of speak plains it's a grassroot organization nonpartisan that is who our church the clergy Alliance for Dust Plains is partnering with so that we can have the community pride celebration." [00:18:23]

"It means so much to so many in the community and it's not just those who are part of the LGBTQ community it is their family their friends their parents that need that representation that need to be told they are a firm and in case you missed it before council did approve to allow that to be hosted here this year because we couldn't find a location." [00:19:24]

"Generations LGBTQ community has been told that they have no place in the church unless they what they don't practice their sexuality that's often what I grew up with in the Catholic church well it's okay if you're not straight you just can't practice that or to be told when you're trying to reply to the priesthood that because of your sexuality you'll have to be sent to a psychiatrist not psychologist which is typical practice to determine if you're salvageable or you're damaged goods literally the words that were used." [00:20:26]

"What fears are keeping you from fully embracing your potential what obstacles are standing in the way of God's meaningful work destined for you look to Jesus as your guiding example he faced challenges with unwavering strength and purpose just as he did not falter in his mission we too can find courage to step boldly into the path laid out for us." [00:21:47]

"Even when we resist and turn away Jesus's love remains the cross is the ultimate demonstration of a love that will not be deterred i often tell people that the intersection of the cross the center point is where we all intersect all of us all kinds of people we come together in the middle for what one purpose as children of God to love and care for each other." [00:22:40]

"His love is stronger than fear rejection and death itself and that love is for you it's for the stranger you have yet to meet regardless of how often you've resisted his call or allow fear to overshadow your faith Jesus continues to earnestly yearn for your return the arms are outstretched filled with compassion and acceptance ready to wrap around you in a warm embrace." [00:23:30]

"Let us ask ourselves are we living in fear or following Christ with courage are we resisting God's grace or willing to be gathered are we choosing the way of love or turning away from the very thing that gives life may we have the courage to follow Jesus's example the openness to receive his love and the willingness to be gathered under his wings." [00:24:37]

"May we go forth living not in fear but in the confidence of God's relentless unwavering love amen." [00:25:04]
