Lord God thank you that we do get to come to you in prayer uh Lord that uh we don't have to do anything Lord we don't have to earn the right uh father you give it to to us as your children as your daughters and as your sons uh to come right up to your throne as it were to uh talk to you Lord to uh give you praise and to give you worship but also to uh lay our burdens at your feet father to tell you what our needs are uh father our fears uh father where we uh have concerns not just for ourselves but for others as well. [00:26:46]

Suppose one of you has a 100 sheep loses one of them doesn't he leave the 99 in the open country and go after the lost sheep till he finds it and when he finds it he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says Rejoice with me I found the lost sheep I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous people who do not need to repent. [00:31:12]

Heaven rejoices over the one I'm not saying that God isn't happy that you are are here today right I'm not saying there's no joy because we're not because we're gathered in the Name of Christ as a church there is rejoicing in heaven but I want you to hear Jesus talking about the one is so so important in fact in Christianity in our thoughts of evangelism and how we reach the world the people that are not here today that are lost are more important than we are because we're going to heaven. [00:36:27]

Jesus is working in the hearts and minds of the lost right now before we go help Jesus find them see that unconditional love is that Grace that God has for each and every one of us see that that uh just think of the 23rd psalm uh the very end of it says goodness and mercy shall chase me all the days of our lives right and that goodness and mercy is not just for the saved the goodness and mercy is for everybody hopefully that they will come to know Jesus because that unconditional love is that love that God has for somebody for everybody so that no one would perish right. [00:38:01]

God's love is not a love that departs it's a love that always imparts oh yeah yeah I have chill bumps right now seriously I mean it's so that is that is such a profound statement that we need to take it in God's love is not a love that departs it's a love that imparts he's always giving he's not taking away and there's no way that we can really in there CU God's love is not the end God's love is really only the beginning it's really only the beginning of this journey that we are all on. [00:41:05]

There's a common Grace right there's a common Grace in the world that just happens all of the time and people may know it or they may not know it common Grace is the joy you feel when you're with family common Grace is the joy that you have when you're out in nature common Grace happens when there is uh success common Grace happens when somebody experiences healing whether they know God or not right that's common Grace there's Grace everywhere God is moving and active all of the time. [00:43:47]

Passive I would say are either infant Christians or non-christians and this active response are mature Christians really seeking and following after God because we can't just feel and understand who God is is without a response because if you can you got your steel toed boots on this morning you got your steel toed high heels on if you don't raise your feet because I say that if you can't if you don't respond to God's grace man you need to check your heart you need to you need to check your relationship with God. [00:46:59]

Repentance means that I turn away from my sin right and I walk away from it and I'm not just walking away from sin I'm walking towards God I'm walking with the Holy Spirit I'm following his guidance and his leadership I'm looking to him but here's what we do and I know this because if I'm the only one that does it then I'm the only person speaking the truth in here what we do is we repent and then sometimes we go back to this sin and we do it again. [00:51:13]

Repentance is seeking God's forgiveness as you as he takes you out of one place to go forward into another to go forward with him to go with the holy spirit with his guidance and his leadership see it's a it's a process and it's an ongoing process scripture says and it's not exactly in line with what we're talking about today but scripture says work out your salvation daily daily every day every day constantly it's a lifestyle of repentance and for those who are in Christ and we repent we should continue to repent and we should continue to repent constantly. [00:54:08]

We need to let people up from their sins amen we do we need to I'm not saying there's not accountability we need to hold people accountable there's there's there's an action a reaction to some people's action but eventually we have to let them up and we should be like Jesus was talking about when he came back to town when this man came back to town with that lamb wrapped around his neck is to Rejoice for the one that repented for the one that knows they sin and they're asking for forgiveness. [00:57:04]

If God can forgive us then we need to learn to forgive you know we need to to work through that we need to work through forgiveness we need to work through reconciliation we need to work through relationships so we don't just uh remember what what did uh uh Hayden's Hayden's quote I don't want to mess it up so I'm going to go back to it I guess I could quiz him and ask him if he knows what his own quote is God's love is not a love that departs it's a love that always imparts. [00:59:02]

Lord thank you oh I'm so thankful father that you give me the opportunity to repent father you give me the opportunity you give us the opportunity to say we are sorry and father by your conviction of you yourself your power of your holy spirit that lives inside of us that gives us that conviction to know when we have done wrong father that we have the chance to walk away away from that sin to say we are sorry and to to do the hard work of reconciliation but father to to respond to your unconditional love for us by saying thank you by saying we're sorry and by working hard to try to not do it again.
