God’s grace is powerful enough to lift you above the weight of your past, no matter what you have experienced or what has happened to you. There are moments in life when the memories of past failures, regrets, or things beyond your control threaten to hold you back from moving forward. Yet, when you allow God’s grace to enter your life, it surpasses every mistake, every disappointment, and every wound, freeing you to embrace the future He has for you. Letting go is not about forgetting, but about trusting that God’s grace is greater than anything behind you. [02:17]
Isaiah 43:18-19 (ESV)
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Reflection: What is one specific memory or regret from your past that you need to surrender to God’s grace today, trusting Him to bring something new out of it?
No matter what challenges or battles you face—be it sickness, financial struggles, or relationship issues—nothing else is the master of your life except God. The world and its troubles may try to convince you that they have the final say, but God alone is sovereign, reigning above all circumstances. He is the one who created the heavens and the earth, who sits high and looks low, and who cares deeply for you. When you remember that God is the master, you can face every situation with confidence, knowing that He is in control and nothing can dethrone Him from His rightful place in your life. [20:37]
Genesis 1:1-2 (ESV)
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”
Reflection: What area of your life is trying to claim mastery over you, and how can you intentionally declare God’s authority over it today?
God is the master thinker, orchestrating the universe with wisdom beyond our comprehension, and He calls us to align our thoughts with His. The way you think shapes the direction of your life, and God desires for you to think with faith, hope, and creativity, just as He did when He created the world. The enemy often attacks your mind, trying to sow doubt and confusion, but God invites you to renew your mind and see yourself and your circumstances through His eyes. As you learn to think differently, you open yourself to the possibilities and plans God has for you. [27:14]
Proverbs 23:7 (ESV)
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. ‘Eat and drink!’ he says to you, but his heart is not with you.”
Reflection: What is one negative or limiting thought you have about yourself or your future, and how can you replace it with God’s truth today?
Just as God created something out of nothing and blazed new trails in creation, He calls you to be a trailblazer in your own life and legacy. God did not design you to be a copycat or to settle for what has always been done; instead, He placed unique gifts and dreams within you to do things that have never been done before. Being a trailblazer means stepping out in faith, embracing the unknown, and trusting that God will guide you as you break new ground. Your willingness to move forward courageously can inspire others and fulfill the purpose God has for you. [31:55]
Hebrews 11:3 (ESV)
“By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”
Reflection: What is one new step or bold idea God is prompting you to pursue, even if it’s never been done in your family or community before?
God models perfect teamwork within the Trinity and invites you to work with Him and others to accomplish His purposes on earth. He is not a dictator but a teammate, valuing collaboration and unity as He brings His plans to fruition. Just as God said, “Let us make man in our image,” He desires for you to be a trustworthy, supportive teammate in your relationships, family, and community. When you trust God as your teammate and work well with others, you reflect His character and help build something greater than you could alone. [39:00]
1 Corinthians 12:12-14 (ESV)
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many.”
Reflection: In what relationship or team do you need to shift from a “dictator” mindset to a “teammate” mindset, and what is one practical way you can build trust and unity this week?
So many of us are weighed down by our past, unable to move forward because we keep replaying old failures, disappointments, and things that were out of our control. But when grace enters our lives, it outweighs everything that has happened before. Grace lifts us above our regrets and gives us the freedom to let go and move forward. There are moments when we all feel like throwing in the towel, but perseverance—especially in the face of adversity—opens doors to blessings we would have missed if we had given up. Today, I want to especially honor those who have chosen not to give up, who have pressed on and seen God’s faithfulness on the other side of their struggles.
No matter what you’re facing, remember that God loves you, cares for you, and is intimately involved in your life. The trials you face do not mean God has abandoned you. Instead, they are opportunities to trust Him more deeply. In Genesis 1, we see that God is the master—He is the master thinker, the master trailblazer, and the master teammate. God created everything out of nothing, orchestrating the universe with wisdom and intentionality. His thoughts are higher than ours, and He invites us to think differently, to align our minds with His, and to believe that He is able to do the impossible.
God is not only the master thinker, but also the master trailblazer. He creates new paths where none existed before, and as His children, we are called to be trailblazers too—doing things that have never been done, stepping out in faith, and leaving a legacy that points to His creative power. God is also the master teammate. Even in creation, He worked in unity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—modeling for us the importance of working together, trusting one another, and pursuing shared goals. We are not called to be dictators in our relationships, but to be teammates, working together for God’s purposes.
Ultimately, nothing else in our lives—no struggle, no success, no person—can claim to be the master. Only God is the master. He orchestrates all things, and He invites us to trust Him, to walk with Him, and to let Him lead. If you have not yet accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, today is the day to let God be the master of your life, to receive His grace, and to step into the newness He offers.

> 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
> 26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Proverbs 23:7 (ESV) — > For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
Hebrews 11:6 (ESV) — > And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
``Why are you beating yourself up over something that happened 20 years ago that you didn't do? There's some stuff that you had no control over. It just happened to you. But what I've learned from the story of the lepers is that even though it happened to you, it can also happen for you. [00:02:32] (25 seconds) #HealingHappensForYou
You are fighting a disease, and that disease is asking you who's the master. Come on. You are fighting financial turmoil. Come on. Come on. And that finances are trying to ask you, who's the master? You are fighting your mate and your relationship. And those relationships are asking you, who is the master? You are fighting with your children, dear brothers and sisters, and your children and the way you raise them is asking, who is the master? And dear brothers and sisters, we are fighting things that are trying to make us admit that they are the master. But dear brothers and sisters, I came to remind you that your finances are not the master. Your relationships are not the master. Those that are the disease are not the master. That there is only one true master. Come on. God is the one true God. God is the master. [00:18:15] (56 seconds) #MasterOfAllBattles
How does a finite temporary being understand an infinite and eternal being? How does that which how does that which has a birth and a death comprehend what has no beginning and no end? And this teaches us their brothers and sisters that God is the master thinker because he was able to think of how things would go before it was even made. [00:22:35] (33 seconds) #EternalWisdomBeyondUnderstanding
We need to start asking people, not just how you are doing, but how are you thinking? Woo. Woo. Come on. Not just how you're doing, but how is your mind? How are you thinking? Because we are easy to say we are good. But you ask somebody how they're thinking, they might tell you, I'm fighting these battles. Come on. They might tell you, I'm fighting these demons. They might tell you, I am fighting these thoughts of suicide. How you ask somebody, how is your thought life going? How do you think about yourself? How do you perceive? [00:24:33] (40 seconds) #AskNotHowButWhatYouThink
Because God is the master strategist, the master thinker, we have to believe that he thought and orchestrated things in an amazing way. When was the last time that one of our planets ran into another? Come on. There are billions of stars and planets in the universe, yet they are all in orderly as they obert around the solar system. [00:25:52] (33 seconds) #DivineOrderInChaos
If he is the master thinker, then you have to think like God. We were created in his own image, dear brothers and sisters. You have to think like him. God is challenging you to think differently. Come on, because he is the master thinker. Some of us don't think properly because we've never been taught how to think, how to strategize, how to look at stuff from a different perspective. [00:27:14] (27 seconds) #ThinkLikeTheCreator
God, dear brothers and sisters, took information that wasn't there and created information and created the world that we live in. God is the greatest, is the master trailblazer. He took nothing from nothing and created something. But by the almighty power of God, it is not only possible that something should be made out of nothing. Why? Because God made us out of nothing. [00:30:40] (29 seconds) #CreateSomethingFromNothing
God is using your life, dear brothers and sisters, to carve a trail that hadn't been carved yet. Come on. And it teaches us, dear brothers and sisters, that we are to be trailblazers as well. God spoke things into existence that's never been done before. And dear brothers and sisters, God is challenging us to do things in our life and in our legacy that has never been done before. God is challenging you to be a trailblazer. Not a copycat. Come on. That means you should be doing more than your father, more than your mother, more than some of your friends. You need to be a trailblazer. Come on. You should be doing stuff that other folks only dreamed about doing. Why? Because God is a trailblazer and because we are his children we are to be trailblazers as well. [00:31:33] (68 seconds) #LegacyOfTrailblazers
God wants to work with you and for you to accomplish things here on earth. But watch this. Are you a good teammate? Anyway, God is challenging you to work with him because he sits there and says, hey, you know what? I can't do this without you. And some of you need to say, God, I can't do this without you. God, I can't raise these kids without you. God, I can't get this marriage together without you. God, I can't get these finances together without you. God, I can't get this together without you. So if you're the master teammate, work with me and help me to achieve this. [00:39:40] (41 seconds) #PartnerWithGod
So as I bring this to the close, this sermon is a reminder that God is the master. He orchestrated everything and no one can compare to him. Get to know him and all the great things that he has done and will do. Why? Because God is the master. Shonuf isn't the master. Bruce Lee isn't the master. Leroy isn't the master. Your job, your businesses, they are not the master. God is the master. And we must continue to put our faith and trust in him. Even when it seems like things are not going the way we think they should go. [00:40:45] (40 seconds) #GodIsTheMaster
