Grace is not just a concept but a living gift from God that enables us to believe, trust, and follow Him. Without grace, the message of the cross seems foolish, but when God gives us grace, the light turns on and we are able to have faith that what God says is true. This faith brings freedom—the freedom to trust God’s way over the world’s way, to walk in confidence that what Christ has done is enough, and to live without fear or striving for approval. Grace is the foundation of our relationship with God, and it is by grace that we are saved, sustained, and empowered to live for Him. [47:02]
Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Reflection: When was a time you realized you were trying to earn God’s approval instead of resting in His grace? How can you remind yourself today that your faith and freedom are gifts from Him, not something you have to achieve?
Our value and righteousness do not come from comparing ourselves to others or from our own achievements, but from what Christ has done for us. Self-righteousness is rooted in pride and leads to hypocrisy, always measuring ourselves against others and finding worth in our own efforts. But Christ-righteousness means our value is determined by the price Jesus paid—His own life. When we live from this truth, we are set free from the exhausting cycle of comparison and can rest in the unchanging worth God has given us through Christ. [01:06:55]
Galatians 6:14 (ESV)
But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Reflection: In what area of your life are you most tempted to compare yourself to others? How can you shift your focus today to the value Christ has given you instead?
When we are saved, God makes us a new creation, giving us a new nature and a new purpose—to be His ambassadors in the world. Our old ways and the world’s value system no longer define us; instead, we represent Christ and His kingdom wherever we go. As ambassadors, we are called to live for an audience of One, seeking to reflect Jesus in our actions, words, and attitudes, and inviting others to know Him through our lives. [01:26:37]
2 Corinthians 5:17, 20 (ESV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come... Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
Reflection: Who in your life needs to see the love and grace of Christ through you today? What is one specific way you can act as His ambassador in your current situation?
The Spirit-filled life is not about striving to perform or earn God’s favor, but about daily asking, “What do you want me to do now, God?” and trusting Him to empower you to do it. God’s Spirit lives inside every believer, giving us the desire and ability to follow Him, even when it seems impossible. When we walk by the Spirit, we experience peace and mercy, and our lives become a testimony to God’s power and goodness, not our own strength. [57:52]
Romans 8:14 (ESV)
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Reflection: What is one area where you have been relying on your own strength instead of the Spirit? How can you invite the Holy Spirit to lead you in that area today?
True peace and mercy are found not in our circumstances or achievements, but in living as new creations, walking by the rule of Christ’s grace, and representing Him as ambassadors. The world offers validation that is fleeting and unreliable, but God’s peace surpasses all understanding and His mercy is new every morning. When we choose to live for Christ alone, we can let go of striving, comparison, and the need for approval, and instead rest in the assurance of His love and purpose for us. [01:37:29]
Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Reflection: What is robbing your peace today? What would it look like to surrender that to Christ and trust Him to fill you with His peace and mercy?
Today’s focus was on the incredible gift of God’s grace and the freedom it brings to our lives. We began by celebrating how God is at work among us, sharing stories of answered prayers and reminders that God meets us in both the ordinary and the extraordinary. We recognized that while encouragement from others is valuable, our deepest comfort and assurance come from a living relationship with Christ and the truth of His Word.
To help us grasp the heart of the gospel, we used a vivid illustration: trying to touch the ceiling as a requirement for heaven. No matter how hard we try, we fall short—just as we fall short of God’s perfect standard. But Jesus, fully God and fully man, accomplished what we never could. When we cling to Him, His accomplishment becomes ours. This is the essence of grace: it’s not about our striving, but about what Christ has already done.
We explored the difference between “do” and “done.” Every religion except Christianity is based on human achievement—what we must do to earn God’s favor. Christianity alone is based on divine accomplishment—what Christ has already done for us. Grace is the gift that enables us to believe, to have faith, and to live in freedom. It’s not a license to do whatever we want, but the power and desire to do what God wants.
We also confronted the subtle dangers of self-righteousness. Whether we compare ourselves to others to feel superior or inferior, we’re missing the point. Our value is not in our performance, appearance, or achievements, but in what Christ paid for us—His own life. We are new creations, ambassadors for Christ, called to live for an audience of One. The world’s validation is fleeting and unreliable; only God’s validation matters.
Finally, we saw that living by grace means walking in peace and mercy, not striving for approval or fearing God’s rejection. God’s love is perfect and unchanging. Our calling is to ask, “What do you want me to do now, God?” and to trust Him to empower us. Grace is not just for salvation, but for every moment of every day, until we see Him face to face.
Galatians 6:11-18 (ESV) — > See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh who would force you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. And as for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (ESV) — > Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
It's not God saying, I did my part, now you do yours. That's what I fear most of Christianity is. I did my part. God says, now you do yours. I don't know if you feel that way. But the point is, that's not grace. It's already been done for you. And he gives you a brand new nature, a brand new nature that wants to follow him. [00:51:44] (23 seconds) #GraceIsAlreadyDone
If your righteousness comes from Christ, Susie Q, do you ever lose value? Do you ever depreciate? No, you are worth the exact same always and don't let the world determine your value because you're going to end up competing with everybody else in this world. Isn't that what they're all doing? They're all just competing. But we're supposed to be living for Christ, realizing no matter what situation he's got us in, where he's got us, whatever season we're in, whatever station of that season, it's the exact place we're supposed to be. [01:08:00] (38 seconds) #UnchangingWorthInChrist
He took all of our imperfect lives and gave us his perfect life if you're saved so you now in God's eyes have you have his perfect his perfect life that's what happened on the cross he took the punishment took everything and that's what paul's saying that's the only thing i got to boast in otherwise i'd still have an imperfect life that i just keep adding to it man trying to please god in my own strength but now i have a home in heaven and nobody can ever take that away from me it's guaranteed so i have no problems at all. [01:32:05] (34 seconds) #PerfectLifeInChrist
God has set you up for this situation right now, whatever situation it is for you to represent him as an ambassador of Christ. Not to exercise your rights, but to be an ambassador for Christ. We belong to a different kingdom. [01:37:48] (21 seconds) #AmbassadorInEverySituation
