#StayOnTrack
“``A train is most effective when it stays on the tracks. Would we agree with that? Yeah. I think so. Well, hold on a second. The tracks restrict the train. have got thousands of horsepower coming off that diesel locomotive. Shouldn't it get to roam free? Can you imagine? You're driving down the country saying, oh, look. There's a train. Also, you see it cut across the field. What in the world? The tracks make it useful, but the tracks also restrict it. The the train just doesn't get to turn left or right whenever it wants to. The train sees something pretty off in the distant, doesn't get to go, oh, let's just go that way instead. No. It's bound by its duty to hold the track.”

#FaithInConfinement
“Many believers assume that if God's leading, all the doors are gonna swing open, and it's gonna be so easily, and the circumstances are gonna become so comfortable. Yet, can I remind you of some ways that God has worked? Some of God's greatest servants found themselves confined. Joseph in prison, Daniel in a strange kingdom and in a lion's den, Jeremiah in a dungeon. John the Baptist was also in prison, by the way. Right. Yeah. Stephen was most greatly used, bound and beaten and stoned to death. Right.”

#AcceptGodsWill
“And instead of beating your head against the wall wish I could do this. I wish I could go back. I wish I could be younger. I wish I could be more physically able like that person is. I wish I could sing like them, or I wish I could teach or preach like them. Why don't you just accept the will of God? Amen. Amen. Right. You'll be frustrated for the rest of your life because God has allowed you to be bound. And Paul says, if I gotta be bound, I gotta be bound. I'm okay with that. I'll do that. If it means I am restrained in some way, if god wills it, I'm okay with it. Amen.”

#LetGodWork
“You know, he paints a really beautiful canvas when you let him do the work. Sometimes god expands your freedom, and sometimes he restricts it, but it's up to him. And you'll be so much happier. Oh, you'll be so much more fulfilled if you let God execute his will in your life even if it means restraint, binding. I mean, can't do this no more. Well, god's clearly I mean, he's made it clear to me and everyone else that this is not the area for you anymore. Now we're gonna pray together. God's gonna find something else or maybe there's already something else on our heart, but we can't just live in what was or what could have been or what should have been or what I think I needed. We've got to allow God to work his will in our life. Amen. Amen.”

#BetterInGodsWill
“Because I can say just by experience that the will of God is is not a a tragic thing or a terrible thing. It's not meant to crush you. God and his wonderful grace and his mercy and his love and his care for us helps us mightily through his will. And we are better by the will of God than we will ever ever be outside of the will of God in our life. But there is an uncomfortable truth that we have to look at. Not all of god's will is comfortable or pleasant.”

#NotAlwaysEasy
“I wish that all of god's will was just, boy, the lord, as as our wonderful, amazing parking attendants are going to be. I wish the will of god was always him pointing me, and he points up to the sign, and it says, Easy Street. Welcome to Easy Street. That would be great. That would be amazing. I would have zero faith if everything was easy. There are things about god's will that are that are uncomfortable. There are things about God's will that are not pleasant.”

#FaithIsReal
“God's will is is not gonna be comfortable all the time. It's not gonna be pleasant all the time. Please don't don't let the televangelist fool you. Don't let the prosperity preachers all fool you thinking, if things are not right, then then then you must be doing something wrong. Right. No. It's not worked out for many of the folks we find here in scripture, so what makes you think that you and I are the exception to that? You know, we have enemies.”

#SurrenderNotStruggle
“if anyone has earned the right to rain down on our parade and say, you know what? You need this instead. I know you wouldn't have chose it. I know this is not what you want, but I've chosen this as part of my will for your life. Would you consider letting god be God and restrain you without you kicking and screaming and throwing a big fit? Amen. Being bound is reflective of the thought of being stopped somehow. We think because god limits us, it means we're done. Well, guess I can't serve anymore. Hold on now.”
