One of the best descriptions of Grace is one that you may have heard before it's describing Grace as God's undeserved favor and I just want to break that down word by word first of all it's God's grace begins with God it flows from him it's something that God gives unto men and women. [00:49:44]

Grace is not giving because you promise to do something in the future or you're sorry about what you've done in the past or you're doing great right now Grace isn't any of that Grace is giving for one reason because the giver in this place God The Giver wants to give. [00:02:09]

The Reason God gives us Grace the reasons are found in him they're not found in US so it's God's grace comes from God it's undeserved the reasons are in him and not in us and it's favor and I don't know if that's such a great word what we mean by favor is we mean kindness. [00:04:43]

Jesus Christ came to reveal God's grace for the law was given through Moses but Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ law Moses grace and truth but we're dwelling mainly on Grace right now Grace was revealed through Jesus Christ Jesus Christ revealed God's undeserved favor to humanity. [00:05:49]

For by Grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of Works lest anyone should boast now notice this by Grace you have been saved what determines a person's Eternal Destiny it's the grace of God the reasons are in him. [00:07:09]

Grace is also how we are to continue in the Christian Life in other words I want to um correct a big misunderstanding that many people have about Grace they think this way saved by grace you love to sing that song Amazing Grace How Sweet the Sound yes a saved by grace yes Lord I know I'm saved by grace. [00:08:39]

In other words the grace of God is the principle by which we continue in the Christian Life it is not a matter of you start in Grace and then you continue on into the principle of works or as he says in Galatians chapter 1 verse 6 I Marvel that you're turning away so soon. [00:09:33]

Grace matters because it is the principle by which God deals with us now Romans chapter 11 verse 6 describes how the principle of works and the principle of Grace are different principles and they contradict each other look at this statement from Romans 11 6. [00:11:33]

The kingdom of God is a kingdom of Grace and God says deal with me on the principle of Grace because here's the truth please get this God deals with you on the principle of Grace he does now what God invites you to do is to respond back to him on the principle of Grace. [00:14:53]

God meant for our fundamental need for acceptance to be fulfilled by his grace in a Grace relationship with him when you think about it the need for acceptance is a universal human need if there's somebody in our midst who says I don't care what anybody thinks about me I don't care if anybody accepts me. [00:24:59]

Fundamentally on the principle of Grace we are highly favored in Jesus Christ and that accepted it isn't hesitant it isn't half-hearted God accepts us enthusiastically he accepts us joyfully he says you are special to me you belong to me I have chosen you and that's why a real relationship with God through Jesus Christ satisfies. [00:29:55]

You are dying of thirst for the acceptance and the grace that you need it's right where you're at you don't have to earn it you don't have to deserve it by faith put your bucket down right where you're at and say God I know I'm unworthy but I want to receive your grace. [00:38:58]
