Even the strongest among us can grow tired, but God’s strength is reserved for those who acknowledge their weakness and look to Him for help.
As we seek Him, He gives us fresh strength—strength to soar above our challenges, to run the race set before us, and to walk faithfully day by day. This renewal is not a one-time event but a continual process, as His mercies are new every morning. True renewal starts from within, as we come before God and ask Him to cleanse our hearts and renew a steadfast spirit in us. Like David, we don’t need a brand new heart, but we need God to restore and purify the one we have, bringing it back to the place of passion and commitment it once held.
It’s easy to drift from our original “yes” to God, to lose sight of our purpose, or to let our spirits grow dull. But God invites us to recognize when something has shifted and to seek Him for restoration. When we ask Him to clean our hearts and renew our spirits, He brings us back into alignment with His will, reviving our love for Him, His people, and the mission He’s given us. [21:05]

Beginnings don't always look the way that we uh would expect them to uh oftent times new beginnings uh don't start with um things happening or beginning on the uh the happiest uh standpoint we don't start out uh from a happy point every time there is a new beginning uh but what we've grown to understand is that every new beginning is absolutely necessary uh no matter how it starts no matter how it feels no matter who's there or who's not when you begin no matter if you are uh feeling alone feeling abandoning feeling uh like everybody else has left you uh this new beginning is necessary uh this beginning uh for some of us has uh left us in a moment where we feel a little weary in our spirit where we feel uh a little uh torn in between believing God uh and running away from God. [00:19:36]
Many of us find ourselves in moments uh where we trust God uh with our lives we trust him uh and we trust his will for our lives so we have moments where we're wondering God is this really you that I heard uh did it was it you that really spoke to me uh and God surely as you did the children of Israel you didn't leave me out here uh to cause me to die uh but we are in this place beginning that God believing that God has called us to this place this past Wednesday uh we talked about renewals and of course our first lady uh begin our lesson by allowing us to uh read from Psalm 51 uh and 10 it says "Create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right and steadfast spirit within me." [00:20:51]
Many of us have prayed this prayer but did not fully understand what David was saying when he prayed this prayer to God uh this prayer as it uh as David begins to uh ask God to create a clean heart uh one thing of course we took time to make sure we understand is that David didn't ask God uh to create a new heart he simply asked him to clean the heart that was there uh to restore the heart uh that was there and he asked God to renew uh the right and steadfast spirit uh to renew his spirit to where it once was when God initially first gave it to him. [00:21:21]
Many of us find ourselves in these moments where we are uh coming to uh the understanding and the reality that uh we are not where we started praise the Lord uh our mindset is not where it was our yes that we initially gave is not there praise the Lord uh many of us have drifted away from what it is that we have uh agreed to do according to the will and the plan of God and for this uh we find these words to encourage each and every one of us to ask God to clean our hearts to uh renew our spirit praise the Lord once you are asking these type of questions and you are making these type of statements to God uh and these type of requests uh you have gone to a place where you realize something has changed something has shifted something has caused me to uh not be where I was but I see the necessity of me getting back to where God has called me to and so we ask God clean us we ask God to renew our spirits praise the Lord. [00:21:54]
We also talked about in uh the book of acts chapter number 10 with Cornelius and his family where uh the angel appeared to Cornelius in a vision the angel said to him that your prayers and your arms uh that you're and your gifts that you've given to the poor uh has come up to God as a memorial offering an offering made in remembrance of his past blessings uh and from that we uh of course left encouraged knowing that our God will remember us praise the Lord and that the blessings that he has poured on us the prayers that we have offered the things that we have done uh serve as a memory for him as something that he will uh observe amen not just for ourselves but those that come behind us. [00:23:05]
Many of us I don't think we we talk about uh generational wealth praise the Lord what about generational blessings generational uh uh where God remembers and memorializes the things that you have done and many of us don't think on these things because uh we don't see how the prayers that we are praying now will impact future generations we don't see how uh the gifts and the things that we offer now will impact those that are coming behind us but God is blessing those that have prayed god is blessing those that have been prayed for god is blessing our children and those that come behind us because we have remained faithful because we have been consistent god is renewing his promises and it's going to trinkle to everybody that's in our bloodline and in our lineage and everyone that is connected to us. [00:23:51]
We have to be careful not to be faithful in these moments of trying times uh because God is honoring faithfulness praise the Lord amen come on somebody can put that in the comments praise the Lord god is honoring faithfulness praise the Lord he's honoring that the Bible says it comes up as a memorial offering to God praise the Lord he remembers all of his past blessings not uh in so much as uh what you have done but he's remembering the blessings that he's given you the promises he's made to you and the promises that go forth amen to those that come behind you in the book of Acts chapter 2 amen we find these words that uh uh you'll be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost and this promise is unto you and to generations that are a far off. [00:24:44]
These are the things that we are constantly being reminded of this is a renewal of a a a contract a renewal of a promise where God is reminding us this is what I said to you this is what I said to your grandmother this is what I said for those who were faithful i'm going to renew the blessings i'm going to remember amen your faithfulness and I'm going to honor your faithfulness praise the Lord we come here to the book of Ezekiel today amen this uh 42nd uh 47th chapter here in this verse uh 12 describes trees along the river banks in a vision here we're dealing with vision again and with their leaves not fading and their fruits uh becoming or not becoming consumed praise the Lord are withering away uh the verse is often interpreted as a symbol of eternal life and abundant grace praise the Lord flowing from the presence of God. [00:25:32]
The trees represent believers and their fruit Amen is a metaphor for their spirit uh growth or their spiritual growth and perseverance the river uh flowing from the temple symbolizes an ongoing grace of God and healing of the power of Christ praise the Lord we find ourselves in moments where uh we are often looking for God to uh renew us to restore us to revive us uh and he makes promises to those that are in him as we are looking for more details in this verse amen here are some key interpretations as you're looking at the abundant of fruit the tree bearing fruit every month represents Amen the continual fruit bearing of believers who are rooted in God's grace and continue to produce good works praise the Lord amen as we are rooted in him he continues to uh give us what's needed the nourishment that's needed to provide and do the work for everybody else. [00:26:25]
Oftentimes as we state here we are looking for the fruit praise the Lord we're looking to see Amen are you only acting like a fig tree are really are you producing uh figs praise the Lord are you producing nourishment are you producing uh these things do you have a form of godliness in the dying the power thereof or do you really know the fruit of the spirit are you really exemplifying what it means to be in Christ and and allow his grace his mercy his power to produce good works through you amen this is what abundant fruit looks like amen the ne uh uh the next uh key interpretation is uh the fading of leaves the leaves here used for medicine signifying the ongoing spiritual health and healing power found in the word of God and in the lives of believers. [00:27:30]
As we are standing here uh being representation uh being representatives of God praise the Lord amen we are being healed we are constantly being powered by the word of God we are constantly being powered by amen the spirit of God and so we tell you it's necessary that if you don't have his spirit amen you need his spirit his spirit sends healing his spirit sends power his spirit amen sends medicine to us to restore us to revive us and get this renew us praise the Lord amen we are refreshed by the spirit of God amen here Amen the next one here is the symbolic uh significance praise the Lord amen the trees the river and the fruit are not meant to be all taken literal praise the Lord but as metaphors for the spiritual blessings and grace that flows from the God's presence praise the Lord amen these are things that you can only get by being in the presence of the Lord. [00:28:24]
Have you ever found yourself in a place where you are just completely drained of all energy drained of uh every thought process but as soon as you find yourself in the presence of the Lord your strength is made new amen your your joy is restored your peace is restored there's nothing like being in the presence of God where you find yourself is in a a state of uh preservation praise the Lord amen this verse encourages the believers amen to persevere through their faith amen knowing that at the end of the day we will continue to produce good fruit and experience the healing power of God amen. [00:29:26]
In Psalm chapter one or Psalm 1 of the Psalmist describes a blessed person as one who meditates on God's law and is like a tree planted by the water that brings forth fruit get this in due season this parallel is uh the image of the tree in Ezekiel chapter 47 highlighting the importance of being rooted in God's word and grace and in essence Ezekiel 47 uh verse 12 is a powerful message of hope and encouragement reminding us that God's grace and healing power are abundant in and available uh to those who draw near to him you can't get renewed you can't get restored you can't get refreshed revived you can't get any of the reads until you draw closer to him until you find yourself in a place where you're in the presence of God. [00:30:50]
You can't get it by way of somebody else that is connected praise the Lord but you got to have your own connection to the presence of the Lord that's where we receive power praise the Lord that's where we receive our strength that's where we receive our uh all the things that we need uh to continue to move forward uh towards the mark that God has called us uh to go towards praise the Lord the book of Isaiah the Bible says and I'm backing up to verse number 29 the Bible says "He gives strength to the weary and to him who has no might he increases power even the youth and men shall grow weary and tired and vigorous young men shall stumble badly." [00:31:49]
The Bible encourages through these words but those who wait upon the Lord Amen who expect and look for him uh and hope of him will gain their strength and renew their power they will lift up their wings and rise uh uh close to God like eel eagles rising towards the sun they will run and not become weary they will walk and not grow tired amen as we are going through understanding that he gives power to the weak after explaining all of the greatness of the glory of God now Isaiah explains another benefit that we can receive from our God he gives us great power somebody shout power amen notice who God gives power to the Bible makes mention to the weak and to those who have no might he increase in strength. [00:32:29]
Those who are found are are proud and confident in their own wisdom and strength will receive no strength from God help us Lord amen even the youth amen shall faint and be weary those who amen taught amen themselves to be strong find themselves weak praise the Lord and God's strength is reserved for those who uh uh who know they are weak and those who know they have no might but the Bible encourages us by letting us know that those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength praise the Lord amen how do we receive this strength from the Lord amen we receive it by waiting on the Lord the idea of waiting on the Lord is to not passively sit around waiting for the Lord to do something yes God gives us strength but we don't expect it to come amen as if he was just pouring into us as we sit passively praise the Lord amen he brings it to us as we seek him as we rely on him instead of our own strength praise the Lord. [00:33:20]
If we are weak Amen it is because we do not wait on the Lord praise the Lord amen we find ourselves in moments where we're looking for God's help we're looking for his strength we're looking for him to renew all of the things that we are needing in this season but many of us miss the opportunity to get from God because we don't want to wait on God amen if we don't wait on him and many of us find it amen within ourselves and I'll tell you from my own perspective amen i find myself trying to find answers i find myself trying to amen put the pieces back together to make things work when the reality is all I have to do is wait on him rely on him trust in him and he will renew our strength praise the Lord. [00:34:10]
We are told that renew Amen that we renew our strength amen and it is the strength that is uh something that we once received when we first came to the Lord in weakness and in no might praise the Lord amen then the strength is renewed as we wait on the Lord amen renew is from Amen the B the basic meaning of change it praise the Lord it comes to mean uh to put a fresh or put on a fresh here we keep putting on uh fresh strength as we are waiting on the Lord amen here's the thing and we often quote the scriptures that uh his uh mercies are new every morning great is his faithfulness uh we're not relying on the strength from yesterday we're not relying on the prayers from yesterday we're not relying on the deeds from yesterday but we're looking for new strength today we're looking for God to uh give us more of his grace of his mercy of his power we're looking for God to pour into us a new Praise the Lord. [00:34:57]
We're looking to him to give us something that we didn't have before amen we are building on what God has given to us the Bible goes on to say that they shall mount up with wings like eagles this is amen the measure of strength of the Lord amen that he gives to us amen strength to soar above everything else praise God as we are dealing with uh new beginnings and renewals we told you that it wasn't going to always be easy that you're not going to face amen a a moment where everything is working perfectly praise the Lord but you're going to come against test and trials and tribulations praise the Lord you're going to come against amen all of these things but God is going to give us strength to get this soar above it all praise the Lord amen two amen rise above everything that you are facing praise the Lord. [00:36:40]
The Bible says that they're going to run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint the purpose Amen this is the purpose of the strength of the Lord that he gives to us amen strength is moving forward and progress for him praise the Lord it is in strength to Amen show or or to show off but it is strength to go forward in grace in power and in the buil ability that God has given us praise the Lord amen he He speaks to the weak in Isaiah amen chapter 40:39 and to the faint amen in Isaiah uh uh chapter 40:30 amen here they are the same Hebrew word amen which means failure through loss of inherent strength praise the Lord amen weary uh and this verse uh 30 is diff is a different word which means exhaustion because of the hardness of life has any of us ever been so exhausted from life praise the Lord life has been lifen praise the Lord and we have grown through moments of being weary gone through moments of figning going through moments amen of uh carrying the heavy load the burdens that life has thrown our way if we are worn out either amen from either reason God is here to give us strength praise the Lord if we wait on him praise the Lord amen he makes this promise that I'm going to give you strength that I'm going to renew you that I'm going to restore you. [00:37:59]
Notice the order because it seems strange first we mount up on wings like eagles and then we run and finally we walk it doesn't seem uh like it's in the proper order praise the Lord not at all praise God amen first we must recognize that we soar into heavenly places in Christ Jesus according to Ephesians uh 2 and 6 then we set ourselves on a course amen to run the race according to Hebrews 12 and 1 and then amen we are in a good place to walk the walk according to Colossians 2 and 6 amen here we find ourselves in a moment where we are relying on God to renew us amen he gives us power amen he Amen it doesn't matter how young you are how old you are amen we Amen find ourselves in moments of weariness and fainting praise the Lord amen but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength amen they shall mount upon wings like eagles they shall run and not go weary they shall walk and not faint god has made us a promise that if we wait on him renewals are going to come. [00:39:20]
As we often times find ourselves in moments where seasons have changed and we are coming out of winter into spring and we're waiting for the flowers to bloom we're waiting for the seeds that we have planted and that have withered away too amen come back again to show us Amen that all of our work all of our labor has not gone in vain amen but God is renewing our promise if we wait on him if we continue to trust in him if we continue to rely on him he will renew our strength he will renew our spirits he will renew our power he will renew our walk he will renew our talk he'll renew our promises but you have to wait on the Lord hallelujah again I say wait amen don't worry don't bend don't bow amen but keep trusting in God hallelujah trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not to thy own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path. He is God and God alone that reminds us that I'm going to reward you for being faithful i'm going to heal you i'm going to deliver you i'm going to bring you out of every test every trial praise the Lord there's no course that has been set before us amen that has not already been set for us to win all we have to do is wait on the Lord run the race and keep looking to God the author and the finisher all right of our faith praise the Lord looking to him hallelujah that will never leave us he won't forsake us he won't abandon us but even in moments where it looks like hallelujah that God has left us by ourselves he lets us know that he walks with you he talks with you he tells you you are his own and as long as you live and trouble continues to rise as you hasten to his throne he promises to renew you he promised to restore you he promised to keep you and elevate you above everything that you're going through. Don't fix your eyes on what's happening underneath you but soar with wings as eagles run looking to him walk with our God walk with him be with him stay with him and watch him renew you he made you a promise and the promises of God are yay and amen if he said it he's got to do it he's going to keep you he will sustain you he will help you he will help you god is everything that we need and so much more look for him to show you the path hallelujah look for him to show you the directions look for him in everything remind yourself that it is necessary to give God thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus and as Jesus went through all that he went through in the garden of Gethsemane we have to have the same spirit that Jesus had when Jesus said "Not my will but thy will be done." It's not always going to be easy it's not going to always be the way that you expected it but the way that God intended for you to go through this journey it is necessary for your make so that you when it's all said and done you'll come out stronger you'll come out wiser you'll come out better on the other side another level of his anointing another level of his grace another level of his mercy that reminds you that God has not left you god has not forsaken you but he's there he's there holding you pushing you keeping you strengthening you and for that hallelujah we give him glory we give him honor and we give him praise thank you God for being our keeper thank you God for renewing all of our strength all of our power thank you for refreshing thank you for revival thank you for a new new mercy and new grace thank you God. David put emphasis when he said "Create in me a clean heart."
