4. "I've done things wrong. I've done things that were sinful. I've done things that I knew were wrong and I did them anyway you have too and in the midst of being guilty before an almighty loving God who is perfectly holy and perfectly righteous and we stand there cowering and we should like Isaiah in the first few chapters of this book talking about how great and awesome he was but when he got in the presence of God almighty it was woe is me I'm undone I'm a man of unclean lips I live amongst a people of unclean lips and I've seen the Lord God." "I have redeemed thee I made you your mine but when you went astray when you ran away when you jumped into the the muck and mire of sin I bought you back when you didn't claim to be mine I still claimed you as mine I bought you back I redeemed you so don't be afraid I've redeemed thee I've called thee by thy name thou art mine didn't just say I didn't just make you I didn't just pay for you but I claim you as my own and I know exactly who you are." "When you pass through the waters I will be with thee and through the rivers they shall not overflow thee when thou walkest through the fire thou shalt not be burned neither shall the flame kindle upon thee folks some of you here are in the midst of deep water it's like those times when you were a child and you were down at the lake or at the river or the creek I don't know if y'all go kids get in creeks anymore we used to go find a place to go swimming and suddenly in the muddiness of the water that you've splashed around so much you can't see the bottom and you step and there's nothing there and in a moment you're over your head." "He promises his people his protection and he fulfills that over and over and over again in my life I could tell you story after story and y'all could too how the Lord protected you and kept you you know I think of the 144,000 witnesses in the book of Revelation and it says he seals them and they're his and then a couple of chapters later they're standing with him in the absolute worst time that will ever be in all of this world's history not a single one is missing he keeps them all." "He prefers His He shows preference to us people out in the world say well I've tried praying but I don't seem to get any results do you have a relationship with God the Father is He your Father through His Son Jesus I've tried following the Lord but I don't seem to get any results I don't see anything happening what have you put into it have you laid your life on the altar and given Him yourself have you received Him as your Savior well folks you've got to do it His way you've got to give Him your life." "There's too many Christians wandering around thinking they don't have a purpose that God really doesn't have a plan for them but look and see if you would in verse 7 everyone even everyone that's called by my name I've created Him for my glory I've formed Him yea I've made Him we're here to glorify the Lord too many of us as Christians are looking for what we can get folks we get the opportunity to lift up the name of Jesus we get the opportunity to say you can't understand what great things He's done for me that He wants to do for you."
