David prayed to Yahweh the Covenant God of Israel the maker of heaven and Earth The God Who is really there and he cried out to him saying in verse one you have searched me and known me, David prayed to God understanding that God had personal knowledge of him. [00:03:14]

David knew that the true God cared enough to have searched him and known him and not just David but every man and woman. Notice this, it's not just that God knows everything he knows me. It's not just that God is everywhere he is everywhere with me. [00:04:01]

God knows our words before we speak them and there is nothing of us that is hidden from the all knowing god as David writes in verse three you are acquainted with all my ways. Now the fact that God knows every word on my tongue that's what it says there in verse four. [00:06:38]

Here God hedged David on every side so that this nothing could come to David unless it first passed through God's permission and what was true for David is true for everyone who puts their trust in the Lord. Now here we just have the sense that David was under the constant observation of God. [00:07:56]

David here confessed the truth that God is present everywhere and there is no corner or dimension of the universe hidden from him. Where can I go from your spirit and the answer basically in from David is nowhere heaven isn't too high if I Ascend into heav you are there hell isn't too low God is everywhere. [00:12:39]

David was so assured of the constant presence of God's hand of love and care that not even death and the grave could separate him from God's love. This is as Paul would later write in Romans 8: 38 and 39 that nothing can separate us from the love of God. [00:19:56]

David understood that God knew him from before his birth as a child was conceived and developing in the womb. Lord you formed you, you created not only a world in the first six days of creation but you have a constant care for your creation so that you formed my inward Parts you shaped me in my mother's womb. [00:22:59]

David was filled with amazement and adoration by considering how God knew and cared for him. It is precious that God should think of us at all how precious are your thoughts to me oh God but but it's even Beyond precious that God would think well of us. [00:32:59]

David here at the end of Psalm 13 9 he came to the god of perfect knowledge he came to the god of constant presence knowing that he is also a god of love and that God could be trusted to search him and to know him at the very deepest levels. [00:42:56]

David took this theological understanding of God's nature you know everything and you are everywhere well then God know me God I know your natur I know your attributes and then David applied that to his own personal discipleship the nature and the attributes of God just aren't theories or ideas out in the universe. [00:43:44]

David ended this Majestic Psalm by declaring his destination what was his destination the way Everlasting trusting the god of complete knowledge and of constant presence would bring David to everlasting life the way of Holiness that David prayed for when he said search me oh God and know my heart. [00:47:08]

Jesus is The God Who searches and knows everyone verse one says this oh Lord you have searched me and known me now in the Book of Revelation 2:2 3 Jesus said this of himself I am he who searches the minds and hearts the the searching one is Jesus. [00:48:16]
