1. "I mean, it's, I think maybe we get used to it because we've been Catholic most of our lives, or we've been Christian most of our lives, but it's still astonishing when we take the moment to pray about the fact that God himself desired to save us. He desired to come down, to die, and to rise again in order to conquer those big things in our life, sin and death, those things that we don't have any control over, but that we can be transformed by his grace."

2. "And it's in that way that the Lord encounters us where we are, where we can indeed see him every week, every day that we come into church, that we go to adoration, right? In the Eucharist, we have Jesus himself present with us. That just gives me great hope. I remind myself of that throughout the day, because some days, you know, you get busy and you're going, and maybe you've got some difficulties and sufferings going on throughout the day, and all of a sudden you're kind of frazzled, right?"

3. "And in those moments, I've kind of got into the habit of recognizing it, first of all, and then just saying a prayer, Jesus, I know you're present to me, right? He dwells in our hearts by our baptism. I know you're present to me. Help me to experience that. I found that to be a very powerful little prayer in those moments. And sometimes I'll say it, you know, three to 300 times a day. How many ever times you need to remind yourself in those difficult days, like, Jesus is right here with me."

4. "So you can see that in this gospel, right? The son of God, God himself in the flesh, plugs this man's ears and opens them, be opened. It's this amazing way of like, Jesus, plug me back in. Plug me back into you. There's times I'm just getting distracted or I get taken away by the difficulties and the sufferings and struggles of the day. Like, plug me back into you. Because that's where his divine life flowing through us is where we can live life."

5. "Because I don't know about you, but sometimes it's hard in this world. Sometimes I feel the heaviness of it or the struggle of it. And I get upset or I get down, and then you just keep kind of going down. And it's in those moments especially that we just go away from the crowd. We go to that moment of silence. We open up the scriptures or we pray the rosary or we just say to God, God, plug me back into yourself. I need to know that you're here with me."

6. "I need to be reminded of that, Lord, because I'm worried about these many things that are coming up. I'm anxious about all the stuff going on in the world. Lord, I need to know you're with me because he's in control. He's in charge. And if we can do that, we become more in tune with the word of God. We can hear the word of God, and then we'll be able to speak the word of God. And so it's being able to hear it in that silence of our heart that keeps guiding us toward what Jesus wants for us."

7. "Because then we're plugged back into the Lord. Then we're led by him and not by our own whims or by the things going on around us and in the world, but we allow ourselves to be led by him, which is always going to be the most important. It's always going to be that place where I can find a little bit of peace and maybe even a little bit of joy in the midst of a broken world. That's where Jesus will find us."

8. "And then we're able to share that with others. We're able, like the mute, deaf mute man, we're able to then speak after we've been plugged back into Jesus. After we'll be able to hear his word, we're able to speak his word, to offer that to others, to draw others to Jesus, to tell him about what he's doing in your life. It's those simple little things, to ask them, is there something I can do? Is there something I can pray for you about today?"
