Embracing Fulfillment in Singlehood and Marriage

"Unfortunately, people find out that marriage is not an end-all to the issues of life. When you hear about the struggles, the divorce rate, the fights, the conflict, the single parenting because of abandonment, and you discover that well, maybe singlehood is not all that bad. In fact the Apostle Paul even says that it's preferable because then you have the maximum opportunity to live out your freedom. Paul says that opportunity is diminished once you become married." [00:13:28]

"I have some close relatives, godly women who love God, and who are completely fulfilled in their singlehood. They've never been married and now they're up in age, and yet they are content and fulfilled in their calling under God. Yes they would love to be married, but they don't want something that's gonna mess up what they already have. And when you would ask them, 'What gives you that contentment,' they would say they're looking for that day when they meet the Lord as virgins who've given their lives to his calling on their life, and he has given them in return fulfillment in their singlehood." [00:47:46]

"The biggest wedding in human history will be at the return of Jesus Christ, the bridegroom when he comes for his bride. So for those singles who may never get the opportunity to get married on earth, there is a whopper wedding company and it will put this venue to shame. And all of those kingdom singles who lived in their singlehood before the bride company comes will be at the front of the line because you will be celebrated for being a faithful bride to the soon and coming King." [00:94:28]

"So don't be dissuaded from the desire to be married, but do be dissuaded from making that the end all. I mean, Romeo and Juliet, they were in love, but their relationship ended as a disaster. You don't want that to happen. So therefore, maximize what God has for you right now as a kingdom single." [00:133:05]
