1. "Freedom is a very dangerous thing. I love going to those times of the year when we celebrate our country, and jets fly over, and the flags wave. We stop for a moment, like we'll do next week when it's Veterans Day. We'll remember those who went before us. We'll remember those who went before us. We'll remember those who gave their lives for the cause of freedom. we remember. But after that, we really don't think about freedom at all. We just take it for granted."

2. "Freedom is a dangerous thing. Why is it a dangerous thing? Why? Well, the first reason I think it's dangerous, I believe it's dangerous, is because it is so widely misunderstood. I have rights. I can do as I please. Don't mess with me. Don't tread on me. We know all the phrases. We know all the flags. We see what it's like when we come to an election."

3. "We are a free people. We make choices every day. We make choices every day. We make choices every day. We make choices every day. We make decisions based on our worldview every moment. We make so many decisions a day that we can't even keep track of them. Most of them just happen in the flow of the day. And it is a reminder to us today is that in our freedom, all the choices that we make, we still are accountable to our God, who still weighs us in the balance of the scales and asking, are we coming up short?"

4. "Another reason that freedom is so very dangerous is because it is so easily lost. In Luke chapter 15, it is a story of lostness and finding things. And the most prominent story in that begins in verse 11 about lostness. And a young man goes to his father, tired of the rules, tired of the stipulations. He wanted to stay up all night."

5. "And when we turn from our sinfulness, there comes a freedom that we could never possibly understand until we have it in Jesus Christ. A freedom that says, I am no longer bound to my addictions, my biases, my prejudices, my hostilities, my anger, my pride, my greed. No longer am I bound to people's expectations that are superimposed upon me. No longer am I bound to trying to live up to somebody else's standards. There's only one standard. And so, we break every chain. We break all the chains that are posed upon us, and we find a freedom that comes in living for Jesus Christ."

7. "And when we choose to follow Him, we get to bury all the sins of our past. And we get to choose to live in the freedom that comes in the wholeness of Jesus Christ today. So I pray today, that we'll never take freedom for granted. And I pray today that our country, the land of the free and home of the brave, will never, ever take for granted the freedom that comes to all of us."

8. "Freedom is a dangerous thing. We can forget about it and think we can make all the decisions. We can misunderstand it. We can lose it. We can abuse it. But are you ready to turn like the prodigal son did and turn toward Jesus and say, yes, I want Jesus. I want the freedom that comes in knowing Him as Savior and Lord."
