Embracing Divine Settlement: A New Year of Restoration
Summary
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, we are reminded of the grace and mercy that have brought us this far. The fact that we are alive and witnessing the end of 2024 is a testament to God's unwavering faithfulness. Despite the ups and downs, God has been our constant support, ensuring that we lack nothing, even in challenging times. As we look forward to 2025, we declare it our year of divine settlement, a year where God will restore us to places of glory, power, peace, and rest.
Our vision as a church is to love and build people in Christ, welcoming everyone as family, regardless of their current state. We believe that no one is a liability; everyone is an asset in God's kingdom. This year, we anticipate divine settlement, where God will supernaturally restore us in various aspects of our lives, be it health, relationships, or career. The scripture from 1 Peter 5:10 reminds us that after we have suffered for a while, God will perfect, establish, and settle us.
Divine settlement means being restored to a place of glory and peace. It is a favorable turnaround in our circumstances, whether it be health, marital peace, or financial stability. As we enter 2025, we are encouraged to remain hopeful and prayerful, trusting that God has plans to surprise us with His goodness. Life's journey is filled with challenges, but we have a helper in God, who is always ready to hear our cries and heal us, whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
We are reminded of biblical examples of divine settlement, such as the Israelites' deliverance from slavery, Joseph's rise to power, and Job's restoration. These stories encourage us to trust in God's timing and His ability to turn our situations around. As we step into the new year, let us pray for divine settlement, believing that God will bring us into a season of joy and fulfillment.

Devotional
I'm ready to provide the 5-day devotional based on the steps outlined. Here it is:
---
Day 1: Gratitude as a Foundation for Hope
As we conclude 2024, we are reminded of the importance of gratitude for the life and faithfulness God has shown us. Despite the challenges and trials we have faced, God's unwavering support has been our anchor, ensuring that we are sustained and provided for. This gratitude is not just a passive acknowledgment but an active foundation that sets the tone for entering 2025 with hope and expectation. By recognizing our very breath as a gift from God, we cultivate a heart of thankfulness that opens us to His continued blessings and guidance. [00:05]
"Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods." (Psalm 95:2-3, ESV)
Reflection: What are three specific things you are grateful for from this past year, and how can you express this gratitude to God today?
Day 2: Embracing Community and Transformation
Our church's vision is to love and build people in Christ, welcoming everyone as family. This vision emphasizes the belief that every individual is an asset in God's kingdom, and through His love, we can transform perceived liabilities into valuable contributions to the community. By embracing this vision, we create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to grow in their faith and service. This transformation is not just about personal growth but about building a community that reflects God's love and grace to the world. [00:10]
"Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." (Romans 15:7, ESV)
Reflection: Who in your community can you reach out to this week to make them feel more included and valued? How can you show them the love of Christ in a tangible way?
Day 3: Trusting in Divine Restoration
2025 is declared as our year of divine settlement, where God will restore us to places of glory, power, and peace. This restoration can manifest in various forms, such as health, relationships, and financial stability, as we trust in God's promises. Divine settlement is about experiencing a favorable turnaround in our circumstances, where God supernaturally intervenes to bring about healing and wholeness. As we enter this new year, we are encouraged to remain hopeful and prayerful, trusting that God has plans to surprise us with His goodness. [00:15]
"And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." (1 Peter 5:10, ESV)
Reflection: In what area of your life are you seeking restoration? How can you actively trust God to bring about this divine settlement in the coming year?
Day 4: Patience in God's Perfect Timing
Biblical examples of divine settlement, like the Israelites' deliverance and Joseph's rise to power, remind us to trust in God's timing. Even after periods of suffering, God is faithful to perfect, establish, and settle us, bringing us into a season of joy and fulfillment. These stories encourage us to remain patient and hopeful, knowing that God's plans are always for our good, even when we cannot see the full picture. Trusting in His timing requires faith and perseverance, but it ultimately leads to a deeper understanding of His love and purpose for our lives. [00:30]
"For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay." (Habakkuk 2:3, ESV)
Reflection: What is one area where you are struggling to trust God's timing? How can you practice patience and faith in His perfect plan this week?
Day 5: Praying for New Beginnings
As we enter the new year, we are encouraged to pray for divine settlement and remain hopeful for God's surprises. By focusing on God and seeking His help, we can expect a favorable turnaround in our circumstances, leading to a year of new beginnings and breakthroughs. Prayer is a powerful tool that connects us to God's heart and aligns our desires with His will. As we pray for 2025, let us do so with expectation and faith, believing that God will bring us into a season of joy and fulfillment. [00:35]
"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:19, ESV)

Verse 1 to 6, the should not might woman had, you know, her properties taken away, but this was divinely restored to her. 2 Kings chapter 8, 1 to 6, quickly, it says, Then Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can. [01:09:09] (35 seconds)
It will come upon you, upon the land for seven years. So the woman arose and did according to the saying of the man of God. And she went with her household and dwelt in the land of the Philistines. Seven years, it was, it came to pass at the end of the seven years, at the end of seven years, that the woman returned from the land of the Philistines. And she went to make an appeal to the king for her house and for her land, because she had been gone for seven years. So everything she had before leaving, she lost it. People have taken it. That's basically the story. People have taken everything. So when she came back, she went to the king. So then the king talked with Gehazi and the servant of the man of God saying, tell me, please, all the great things Elisha has done. [01:10:01] (67 seconds)
Now it is, it happened as he was telling the king how he had restored the death to life. That there was. The woman whose son he had restored to life, appealing to the king for her house and for her land. [01:11:07] (23 seconds)
And when the king asked the woman. She told him, so the king appointed a certain officer for her saying, restore all that was hers and all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left the land until now. Hallelujah. [01:11:51] (26 seconds)
Everything that has been taken from you, if it is your health, if it is whatever it is, we are trusting. God for restoration. [01:12:32] (9 seconds)
