Community as a part of mental health is such an important piece. When God describes the church in scripture, he uses a number of metaphors. In 1 Corinthians 12, he says that the church is a body comprised of many parts. In Hebrews 3, he describes it as God's household. In 1 Peter 2, he describes it as a temple of God, a temple for God to dwell in, built of many stones, many living stones. [00:06:27] (44 seconds)

It's hard as one individual person to be the church that God envisions us to be if we stay reclusive. In Hebrews, he talks about the people finding a habit of not meeting together. When we separate ourselves off from the church, the church not being our four walls here, the church being you all sitting in these chairs. When we separate ourselves off from the church, our vines tend to die. [00:07:42] (43 seconds)

When it comes to the stability of our mental health, when it comes to where we're living our life the best way that Christ would like us to live, being in community built up by the people around us is so key. [00:10:35] (20 seconds)

In the time where the most difficult things of life come upon us, to have our people that we can come to and say, this is going on. I've lost a parent. I've lost a child. I've lost my job. I've had a difficult day. And being able to talk through some of those things with the people that believe in who Jesus is and can help us through it is so important. [00:12:36] (32 seconds)

``Share each other's burdens and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You're not that important. [00:13:43] (15 seconds)

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from the sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time, we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. [00:14:26] (22 seconds)

We believe it's whether when we get together or when we get together or when we get together and we can build each other up, when we can stand before each other, when we can stand in the gap, when we can be there when our house floods, when we can be there when we don't have enough money to cover our bills for this week, when we can be there and help lift up, we're being the hands and feet of Jesus. That's what he asks of us to be. [00:16:26] (30 seconds)

The scripture says to share each other's burdens. This life is difficult enough. When someone is there to lift you up in a difficult spot, you will never forget that. [00:16:57] (18 seconds)

The humility with which it takes to be a part of a community that I am not higher than you and you are not higher than me, but exclusively Jesus is higher than all of us. He is who we serve. That's where the community grows and builds. [00:17:20] (21 seconds)
