#BrokenToResurrection
“Not when you got better, not when you had it all together, not when you knew how to pray, not when you had the right people in your life, not when you had the job you needed. At the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. And that right time, much as two thousand years ago, is today. And if you've gone through it, you need to know that Jesus broke for you. And it's in the breaking of the bread that we remember again and again that that type of brokenness applies to something in me because he's gonna take the thing that hurt in me, that's disoriented in me, that's off in me, that's not working in me, and bring a great resurrection harvest out of that.”

#WeHadHoped
“How many of you resonate with that? You had hoped in something that was good and true and right. You saw all the things lining up that ought to work that way. You relied deeply, almost even unconsciously on some things about that and hoped in it. Hoped being a past tense word. But we had hoped implied that hope was lost. And now, like them, you may be standing still, looking sad or gloomy, talking to a friend or not even sure who to tell your story to, But we had hoped. They had hoped rightly.”
