#FaithOverFear
“There's no way to live without sometimes facing those questions. There's no way to find joy without sometimes leaning in to the fear. But it is okay to be afraid at times because the sure foundation upon which we stand is good good news. For Jesus is the one who faced those questions first. The Lord above and over all creation humbled himself to live with us, to eat by our side, to risk the possibility of betrayal and rejection and tragedy, and to rise again on the third day and come right back by our side again. Because God, through Christ, faced those questions head on. God refused to let our fear have the last word.”

#ChooseHope
“Their friend and their lord that they thought was gone forever. Now there was an earthquake. Now there was an angel. There were lights. There was this voice. There was this message before them. Do not be afraid, the angel said. And I gotta believe they were terrified. But in that moment, they also had a choice. They could have frozen stiff like the guards around them. They could have refused to even hope that their greatest desire might actually be fulfilled or they could run with abandon to tell the disciples the good news. They could take the risk of feeling joy again and trusting that Christ was truly risen.”
