#RediscoverEaster
“Objectively speaking, Easter is big news, earth shattering news, news that you would expect would change us and impact us and turn us upside down. But most, both now and then, are surprisingly unfazed. Jesus Christ is risen today. Hallelujah. We sing and we proclaim and then, okay, that's over. What's for lunch? We pacify Easter. We normalize Easter. We commercialize Easter. Easter is white bunnies and spring flowers and ham dinners and little girls in hair bows and white dresses. It's all very sweet and very pretty and very pastel. It is not earth shattering.”

#ResurrectionRevolution
“And here is the crux of it. Just as an earthquake denotes the enormity of the moment when Jesus dies, an earthquake denotes the enormity of the moment when the women, and by extension all of us, we can all be read in here, see inside the tomb and get it. Really get what it is that is happening. Really get that the resurrection is true. This realization should shake us to our core. It should make us question our deepest assumptions. It should cause our human institutions to topple over and turn our societal structures upside down. It should leave us with a world that looks like nothing like it did before.”
