#ResurrectionCompletesHistory
“Christ's resurrection defeats despair. A second thing about it, because there are a lot of things that it speaks to, it consummates history, number two. Yeah. You try to use these words that basically take the place of a bunch of other words. You could say finishes history, completes history, makes everything make sense, consummates it, completes history. The resurrection marks the beginning of the final ending of complete history. By the way, we almost take this for granted that there actually is an end to history.”

#ResurrectionWasReal
“the Christian position is it was a real historical event. Like, it happened in space and time in the most common sense way. And people lived their lives that expecting he would return. In fact, Paul seemed to think that would happen during his lifetime. Every Christian does, by the way. And yet, these people in this little church though, began to lose heart. Why did they lose heart? Because people they love died.”
