#NoDoubtHeEmpowers
“``It's a tall order. Will some of it be challenging? Yeah. Will some of what Christ calls us to do seem beyond our abilities? Absolutely. Will faithfully and courageously following the direction of the risen Lord sometimes feel like more than we can do? You bet. And will Jesus and his holy spirit be with us every moment and every step of the way, patiently, confidently, and supernaturally, if that's what it takes, empowering us to do what he calls us to do. No doubt about it. Will Jesus give us the ability to do what he trusts us to do? No doubt.”

“Will faithfully and courageously following the direction of the risen Lord sometimes feel like more than we can do? You bet. And will Jesus and his holy spirit be with us every moment and every step of the way, patiently, confidently, and supernaturally, if that's what it takes, empowering us to do what he calls us to do. No doubt about it. Will Jesus give us the ability to do what he trusts us to do? No doubt. Thanks be to God. No doubt.”

#EasterIsJustTheBeginning
“Easter is just the beginning. It is just the beginning of the fullness of what God is going to do in the world. It is just the beginning of what Christ is going to include us in doing in his name. It's a tall order. Will some of it be challenging? Yeah. Will some of what Christ calls us to do seem beyond our abilities? Absolutely. Will faithfully and courageously following the direction of the risen Lord sometimes feel like more than we can do? You bet. And will Jesus and his holy spirit be with us every moment and every step of the way, patiently, confidently, and supernaturally, if that's what it takes, empowering us to do what he calls us to do.”

#DoubtIsPartOfFaith
“And honestly, even they who got there first on that Easter didn't know what to make of it. Even after they had been told by the tomb's heavenly attendance that Jesus was alive. In John's gospel, right here in fact, just a few verses back, Mary Magdalene herself runs into Jesus on her way leaving the tomb, and she thinks do you remember? She thinks he's the gardener who has taken Jesus' body away. So I guess what I'm saying is that probably one of the things that we would be perfectly okay coming to terms with and looking square in the face is that doubt is a thing, and doubt is not contrary to faith. Doubt is not counter to faith. Doubt is not the enemy of faith.”
