#DoublePortionLife
“``That Jesus Christ, he died on the cross for you to have new life, and that new life includes a double portion life. It includes an empowerment of the holy spirit in your life. He doesn't want you to live a life that's powerless, and he doesn't want you to live a life that's clueless. He wants to fill you with his knowledge and wisdom. He wants to empower you supernaturally to to do the things and the work and the ministry of the kingdom of god.”

#AskForMoreGrace
“``Do you want that more? Do you want that double portion? Do you have the sense of humility and courage to ask for the more. In every circumstance, in your personal life, in your relationships, in your marriages, how you raise children, how you care for your older parents, at your work, how you love well those that are not very lovable, How you forgive those who don't deserve to be forgiven.”

#AskAgainForMore
“``Because what I've realized about the double portion is we get to ask again and again and again whether it's a circumstance in your family, whether it's a a circumstance in your professional life, whether it's a circumstance in ministry, we get to ask again and again and again. So my closing question do you want his double portion?”

#SpiritEquipsYou
“``And also the new covenant is saying, you have the spiritual resources of wisdom, of knowledge, of power, of gifts. I believe that's the double portion that we get to look at Elisha's humble and courageous request and bring that request to God for every area of our lives. The holy spirit wants to equip us in all of those areas from being new parents. This is the new parent corner of our church over here. Right? That's good. there's is there other corners? I don't new parents and all of you.”

#LiveInHolySpirit
“``Would you go in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit? Don't live that powerless life. Don't live a life outside of the knowledge and wisdom of God. He delights when you ask for all that he has for you. So ask, thirst, hunger, and desire for more of him. In the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit.”

#RuachIsSpirit
“``How do we understand? He takes it from inheritance practice, but he says, a double portion of your spirit that seems like such an odd request, does it not? That word spirit, the Hebrew word is ruach. It can be it's translated breath and wind. It can mean the human spirit. It can also be the holy spirit of god. And how I understand this best is I think Elisha knows that Elijah's ministry is energized and empowered by the spirit of god himself.”

#YouAreAnointed
“``He's saying there's all this false teaching, all these false stuff in the world around us, But you've been given an anointing. The Holy Spirit is for you. He's been given. If you are a Christian, you have the spirit. You've received the spirit and the voice of the spirit, sometimes in a still small voice, sometimes loud and clear.”

#DoublePortionHumility
“``Why was he so persistent and consistent? He wanted a blessing. And and his blessing is interesting, this idea of double portion. Where did Elijah get that? What was he longing for? In fact, it's easy to think when you read that story, oh, he wants to this is one of my wife's favorite phrases. He wants to be all that in a bag of chips. He wants double the power of Elijah. But I think if you understand the context, it's it's not a prideful thing. I think it's an expression of humility.”
