“Love those who love and love will abound. That's sort of a theme. The points here, invest in your resources. God will bring victory. Prioritize love to the church of Jesus and some application. Actually the application comes through the sermon. I just recap it at the end.”
“Edwards said the right thing to do is not that you follow all the laws. The right thing that you do is that you love and you should have he called it benevolence for being in general. But you are to love being. And if you're loving being, well, you've got to love God, who is the greatest being.”
“If you do not love God, you're not going to have proper love to anything else because God is the creator of all things. first order business. Now, what else does the Bible teach? Well, the Bible teaches that you are to love other things. God loves the things that he has made.”
“You should love all people, but you have to because you're kind of limited. You have limited time. You have limited ability. You have limited money. You have limited all kind of things. I know it's not just me, right? We need to make a decision on these things. When you love those who love, love will abound.”
“Love all people. But you know, you can pour your love into someone who doesn't love others and it seems like it just goes there and it doesn't seem to do as much as you'd hoped it would and they're not loving other people. Has ever had that happen? Should you stop loving them? No. Why? Because we love people.”
“And where is your neighbor? Your neighbor is the person in your house, your own family. And it's the person in the church of Jesus, your own family, as the person that you see, your neighbor. Should we love people that are far off? Yeah, of course we should. And we do what we can. But this is where God has you, right?”
“This passage is about prioritizing your resources to work well for you. Boy, this sounds like a a business uh uh admonition, you know, good business stuff. But you have limited resources in time. You have limited resources in your energy. You have to figure out what is the best thing to do.”
“And one of the things we do as a church of Jesus and as we try and broadcast and have that out there is for people who do not know the word of God to know the word of God. And when we are supporting this church, we are shining like a beacon for people to know the gospel of Jesus.”
“If I live a good life, I'll go to heaven. That's not what the Bible says either. People need to know the gospel of the Lord Jesus and have the Holy Spirit move in their heart to know and embrace it. Another application of this verse is to support all of the ministries of the church.”
“Look at verse seven. Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever a man sws, whatever one sws, he will also reap. For the one who sws to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But the one who sws to the spirit will from the spirit reap eternal life.”
“You will grow in the spirit as you sew in the spirit. And the result of that is eternal life. or you can grow and sew to the things of the flesh. And those things are what was talking about above and we'll look at it again. They're they're not good things. They're destructive things.”
“If you chase after the things of the flesh, what you're going to get is the corruption of the flesh. And if you take and keep in step with the spirit of God, what keep in step, keep in in line, uh be under and with the spirit of God as it was talking about above you grow in the spirit of God.”
“It's important for you to invest in your spirit, your Bible study, that time you spend in prayer, that time you spend with other people. This is important as you encourage one another, it sws to eternal life. So what do you spend your time and focus on?”
“It's true with comedy as well. If you ever noticed that some comedians are only funny to one side or the other, and that's because what they're doing is not really comedy. What they're doing is scorn. being scornful, being just It's gonna come out in a different language here. I better not do that.”
“It's hard to take the high road when other people are on the low road, but trust the Lord and do the right thing because God gives the victory. Well, I could be sneaky and I could smear people and no, don't do that. That doesn't feed the good thing in you when you trust Jesus.”
“Do good. Second, do good to everyone. Love of Christ in your heart, it should reach out and you your actions should be loving towards those that come into your path. You are the light of the world. Jesus said, he didn't say try to be the light of the world. Isn't that interesting?”
