[33:36]Observation questions- In Hebrews 3–4, what did Israel see and hear from God, and what kept that generation from entering His rest? [18:22]
- What difference can the group observe between Jesus’ response to the storm and the disciples’ response in Mark 4? [07:43]
- Hebrews 4:11 places striving to enter God’s rest beside the warning against disobedience. What connection does the passage make between rest, faith, and obedience? [24:39]
- According to Hebrews 4:12, what does God’s Word discern and divide, and what kinds of things can it bring into the light in a person’s heart? [27:21]
Interpretation questions- If God’s rest is more than a break from activity, what does it mean for rest to be a settled condition of the soul rather than the absence of problems? [06:06]
- Jesus was asleep before the storm was calmed. What does this reveal about the kind of peace Jesus gives in John 14:27? [16:46]
- Hebrews says believers should strive to enter rest, while salvation is based on Christ’s finished work rather than human effort. How can a believer take faith and obedience seriously without trying to earn God’s acceptance? [13:34]
- God’s Word is described as living and active, and it becomes personal when it is received in faith. What might it look like for someone to move from merely hearing a biblical truth to agreeing with it and obeying it in a difficult situation? [26:25]
Application questions- Where have you been looking for rest lately—through escape, distraction, a change of circumstances, or something else? Has that brought deep rest to your heart, or only a temporary break? [04:41]

- What specific fear, unbelief, or reactionary habit might God’s Word be exposing in your heart right now? What truth from Scripture do you need to receive as God’s word for you? [27:23]
- Is there an area where you know what God is asking of you, but your feelings have been given the final word? What would a small, faithful step of obedience look like this week? [28:01]

- Psalm 23 does not say believers avoid the valley; it says the Lord is with them in it. Where do you need to stop merely asking God to get you through something and begin asking Him to walk with you through it? [32:54]
- People often watch how believers respond under pressure. What kind of response would make the calming presence of Jesus more visible in your home, workplace, or friendships this week? [36:55]
