#CommunityHeals
“Here's what I wanna tell you. The podcast doesn't know you. The YouTube preacher cannot see that you haven't surrendered that one area in your life yet. But your pastor can and your leaders can and your community can and they are part of what god uses to set the dislocated places back into place in your life. And trust me, the early part of the process hurt more than the initial accident. But once it was back in place and the healing took place, now, it does what it was called to do. That's how it works in the body of Christ.”

#ChurchDiscipleship
“The question is not whether you need church to go to heaven. The real question today is whether you want to become everything god's designed you to be. That's the real question. If so, because he's designed a process. An intentional, structured, spirit filled process, and guess what? The local church is the answer. Here's our challenge. Unfortunately, at times, accountability is uncomfortable. Community is not always convenient. Corporate worship requires sacrifice but that's expressedly precisely where growth happens at the edge of your comfort in the community of fellow believers under the authority of the living word of god.”

#ConnectedNotIsolated
“You see, when we start serving one another like that, the body becomes very healthy. Hallelujah. And we begin to know one another and we bear one another's burdens together. Bottom line. Bottom line, You cannot grow without being connected. The branch that is severed from the vine does not bear fruit. you cannot manufacture that connection through a podcast or a private devotional life alone no matter how sincere. You need the body.”

#BelongToTheBody
“Here's our key thought. You're not just saved into a relationship with Jesus. You're incorporated into his body and a body part that is disconnected doesn't grow. Listen to me. A disconnected part of the body dies. Sever a finger off if it doesn't get reconnected real soon, you can't put it back on. It's too often. We have individuals that walk away from the body and it does so much damage not just to them but to the body.”

#AccountabilityProtects
“Paul says that those who are disconnected from the body become like children tossed back and forth by every wind of the doctrine. Here's the sobering truth. You're not becoming more spiritually stable by removing yourself from the local church. You're becoming more vulnerable to deception, more susceptible to spiritual drift, and more isolated from the correction that keeps us anchored in truth. So the people in small group, challenge your theology. The elder who speaks a hard word in love. The sister in Christ who asked you the questions that you're hoping no one would ask.”

#ChristlikenessFirst
“So, the goal in the Christian life, listen, I've said this before and and I get weird looks when I when I say this, the goal of the Christian life, ML, is not just to go to heaven. That's right. That's not just the goal of the Christian life is for you and I to become more and more Christ like every day after another. Every day, we become more and more Christ like. Yeah. That's the goal. Here's what's cool about that. When you become more and more Christ like, you're gonna go to heaven. That's the cherry on top.”

#TransformationNotJustKnowledge
“Many sincere believers have convinced themselves that they can grow closer to god without the local church. You know what we've got today? We got podcast. We got personal devotions. We got private faith And and they're they're partially right. You can gain knowledge alone through those, but god never designed knowledge to be the finish line of growth. He designed transformation. And transformation requires community, accountability, friction.”

#YouNeedATeam
“But here's what I also believe. The same god who meets you in your car designed a place called the church where you would become something that you could never be on your own. I got news for you. You can't win a football game if you're the only one on the field. It takes 10 other guys. It takes eight other guys on the baseball field. It takes four other guys on the basketball court. Amen. And and when you're playing golf, I need captain's choice because I need three other guys help me to find my ball.”
