God is still in the business of working miracles, just as He did in the days of the Bible, and He continues to heal, restore, and transform lives in ways that defy human explanation. When we hear stories of healing, deliverance, and lives changed—whether in Scripture or among people we know—it is a reminder that God’s power has not diminished. Even when circumstances seem impossible, God invites us to trust Him for the miraculous, to reach out in faith, and to believe that He is able to do what no one else can. If you have experienced a miracle, no one can convince you otherwise; and if you are still waiting, know that God’s compassion and authority remain unchanged. [11:16]
Matthew 9:27-30 (ESV)
And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about it.”
Reflection: What is one area in your life where you need to trust God for a miracle today, and how can you reach out to Him in faith like the blind men did?
Believing in Jesus is not just about intellectual agreement; it’s about following Him, building a relationship, and living out what He teaches. Even the demons believe, but true faith is shown in our willingness to walk with Jesus, obey His word, and let our lives be transformed by His presence. It’s not enough to simply say we believe; we are called to live in a way that others can see the difference Jesus has made in us, to walk out our faith with integrity, and to let our testimony speak for itself. [29:21]
James 2:19-20 (ESV)
You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?
Reflection: In what specific way can you move from simply believing in Jesus to actively following Him this week?
God’s grace is so great that He chooses to use imperfect, broken people to accomplish His purposes. Throughout Scripture and in our own lives, we see that God is not limited by our failures, weaknesses, or past mistakes. Instead, He looks for those who are willing to follow Him, and He delights in showing mercy, offering forgiveness, and bringing beauty from brokenness. No matter your story, God can use you for His glory if you are willing to surrender to Him. [04:24]
1 Corinthians 1:27-29 (ESV)
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.
Reflection: What is one area of brokenness or failure in your life that you can surrender to God today, trusting Him to use it for His purposes?
When God does something miraculous in your life, it’s not meant to be kept quiet. Like the blind men who couldn’t help but tell everyone what Jesus had done, we are called to share our stories so that others can see God’s power and love at work. Your testimony—what Jesus has done for you—can encourage, inspire, and lead others to faith. Don’t underestimate the impact of your story; someone needs to hear what God has done in your life. [22:58]
Psalm 107:2 (ESV)
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble
Reflection: Who is one person you can share your story of God’s work in your life with this week, and how will you do it?
True freedom and spiritual growth come when we honestly acknowledge our struggles, bring them to Jesus, and trust Him to set us free. We don’t have to pretend to have it all together; God invites us to come as we are, admit our need, and walk out of the “jail cell” of guilt, shame, or addiction. He is a loving, miracle-working God who wants to break every chain and lead us into a life of freedom, purpose, and ongoing transformation. [38:44]
John 8:36 (ESV)
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Reflection: What is one area where you need to walk out of the “jail cell” and trust Jesus for freedom today? What step can you take to begin that process?
Today’s focus is on the God who still works miracles, using ordinary and broken people to accomplish extraordinary things. From the very beginning, God has chosen people with flaws, struggles, and complicated pasts—like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, and so many others. If God only used perfect people, He wouldn’t use anyone at all. What matters most is not our mistakes, but our willingness to follow Him and trust Him with our lives.
We revisited the stories of Jarius’s daughter and the woman with the issue of blood, highlighting how faith in Jesus brings healing and restoration. These miracles are not just ancient stories; they are living realities. Testimonies from our own church family—Mary, Vicki, Jana, Patty, Kenneth, Danielle, and Andy—remind us that God is still moving powerfully today. When we face impossible situations, God invites us to reach out in faith, just as the woman did, believing that even touching the edge of His garment can change everything.
Matthew 9 is filled with miracles: the paralyzed man, the two blind men, the mute demoniac, and many more. Jesus’s compassion for the crowds, His authority to forgive sins, and His power to heal every disease reveal the heart of God. But the question He asks is the same for us: “Do you believe I am able to do this?” Faith is not just intellectual agreement; it’s a relationship, a willingness to follow, to trust, and to testify to what He has done.
We are called to be workers in God’s harvest field, sharing our stories and living lives that reflect His grace. Our testimonies matter because they are rooted in real transformation. Belief is more than mental assent—it’s a life lived in response to God’s love and power. Even when life is hard, when we face setbacks or pain, God is still present, still working, and still inviting us to trust Him more deeply. He wants to set us free from the prisons we create for ourselves—whether guilt, shame, addiction, or fear. The door is open; we only need to walk through in faith.
Matthew 9:1-38 (ESV) — > 1 And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city.
> 2 And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.”
> 3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming.”
> 4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?
> 5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’?
> 6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.”
> 7 And he rose and went home.
> 8 When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
