Mary's extended family also comes into play, they still lived in Jerusalem. So Mary's mother and father, one of them was from Jerusalem. His mother, his, hold up, here's where I started getting crazy. I'm not gonna do it. All right. Mary's mom was originally from Jerusalem. Her father was from Nazareth. Okay, so now. [00:07:05] (29 seconds)

The closer you live to the wall, and to the city wall, the more you were inclined to worship God and be a God worshiper. If you did not care about the things of God, you didn't care about the temple, and you didn't care about the city walls, and you didn't care how close you was in proximity. [00:07:35] (15 seconds)

Whenever you look at Mary's story, it's powerful because her family was very much rooted in the Bible and in the gospel and into what God was doing, okay? Very much. Which creates an environment for her to obey God. So we're going to pick up the Christmas story right here, and I'm going to tie this together. [00:10:34] (22 seconds)

Mary does not, Mary grew up in a home where you were taught to obey God, where you were taught to honor God, where you were taught to honor God's word and to do what he asked you to do. And what's amazing is she didn't say, watch this. She said, how can this be? Not, this can't be. [00:16:14] (19 seconds)

If God said it, I believe it, that settles it. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying if God said it, that settles it. If God said it, you could take it to the bank. God means what he says, and he says what he means. If God's word says Jesus came and died on the earth for our sins, then guess what? [00:18:59] (19 seconds)

By faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. Listen to this. By faith, we understand. I'm going to say it one more time. I want everybody to hear it. By faith, we understand. It's not by your mind. It's by your faith. By faith, we understand. [00:21:31] (21 seconds)

Because of her family's influence, Mary was, I believe her family influence prepared her for what God had. I know we talk about Mary and how blessed Mary was, and I believe that. But I would ask you this. How did God prepare her? Mary, by her family. She came from great, great family. [00:22:07] (22 seconds)
