#DoubtIsAGift
“In today's gospel, Thomas has something very basic to teach us, and that is that doubt is built into every human person. In some ways, doubt is a gift because doubt is a pause. Doubt whispers to us, wait a minute. It's a gateway to newness and to life. It invites us to take time so that we can arrive at a greater certainty. I don't know about you, but if someone told me that a person had come back to life after death and burial, my doubt would be pretty high, and Thomas was no exception to that.”

#FaithThroughPrayer
“I think in prayer sometimes, God opens our eyes just as he did with Thomas. He took Thomas's hand and he guided it gently into his wounds. And he said to him, put your finger here. See my hands. Bring your hand into my side. Do not be unbelieving, but believe. And doubt vanished. And I will always believe that Thomas wept.”
