1) "And then I realized, well, maybe there's something to the discipline part of spiritual disciplines, where we do force ourselves at times to do things that we know we should do, not because God says we have to do them, but because they're good for our soul, not because we're doing them for goddess, but we're doing them because of God. We're not doing them to make God love us. We're doing them because God loves us. Those are disciplines that we always aren't going to find easy to do."

2) "If you asked me, this is my opinion, that is Bible study, prayer, and worship. I think that those are the most important because I think the other ones get their origin from one of those. Like, those are kind of the non dealbreakers. Like, we need to do those things, because when we do things like evangelize and we tell people about Jesus, we're sharing the gospel. We're sharing the good news of the gospel. And the way we know the good news of the gospel is because we've studied the Bible, we've studied it."

3) "I believe that every single person in this room is built for and called to pray and worship. Every single person in this room is built for and called to prayer and worship. Now, some of you may be thinking, oh, you're talking about all the believers in the room. Yeah, well, I am talking about that and I'm also talking about every single person. Whether you believe God or not, I believe you are built for and called to prayer and worship."

4) "Worry is prayer. Think about it. You're constantly bringing this thing up before your mind. You're constantly wondering, how's this going to end up? You're constantly trying to search your resources and your abilities. How can I solve this? Can someone else solve this? What do I need to do? What is this going to mean? All the things, that's prayer. It's just prayer to the wrong God, namely you. When we worry about these things over and over and over again, and we are the solution of them, we are praying to ourself. It's prayer, but it's to the wrong God."

5) "We are built for automatically and called to prayer and worship without even having to do anything. It is my belief that every single person in this world, all 8 billion, or whatever it is of us, worships God without even knowing about it every day. We know from scripture that God's name is Yahweh. Some people aren't cool with saying it, like, oh, it's God's name. We're not supposed to say God's name. That's why we capitalize the word lord in the Old Testament, because we're like, oh, we don't want to say his name. But listen, God gave us his name. He says, this is my name. Call upon my name. He doesn't say, call upon my title. He says, call upon me my name."

6) "The purpose of prayer is communing with God and confronting the enemy. Communing with God and confronting the enemy. Turns out that little kidde who had the basic definition about prayer was kind of right. Like, prayer is talking to God, but it's so much more. It's God actually talking to you, too. It's two way communication. Yeah. It's us saying things to God, and it's God revealing himself to us. Prayer is also confronting the enemy. We are in a war. And I don't know if you know this, but I know you feel this. We are under attack."

7) "Some of the most holy things you will ever do are take the needs of someone else you know and love and bring them by name to the throne of goddess. And prayers, where we confront the enemy and we say, you will not make me walk in shame and guilt. You will not hold this over me. I am a born again, bought adopted son or daughter of a most high king. You can't do this to me. You can't make me feel this way. I've already been told who I am. This is where we confront the enemy in our prayer."

8) "Inward posture is crucial. Outward posture matters. It does. So let's look at some postures that we see in scripture. These are postures of worship that we see. And because they're in scripture, that means we are invited to do them. We are welcome to do them. These are okay to do. Okay. And there's a bunch of them. We're not going to go through all of them, but let's look at some of them. Okay. The first one is standing. When we stand, it shows honor. In the presence of another one, it says, you have my full attention."
