#TruthCanBlindUs
“So many of us are blinded by the truth. K? Y'all remember this? Blinded by the light. It's not the light that's blinds. It's the truth. So often, we're blinded. So often, we come to an opinion of something, and and because we think it is the right opinion, we think it's the truth. We we close everything else off. There's absolutely no room for anything else because we we've made up our mind, and we're stubborn and hardheaded. I'm I'm sorry. I'm stubborn and hardheaded. And so we need the gifts of the spirit to operate in our lives so that he will reveal the truth.”

#KnowGodsPeace
“Do I have the peace that Jesus gives over this situation? Do I have the peace that comes from Jesus? Not the peace of this world, not reasoning, understanding, but God's peace. And I can tell you this without a shadow of a doubt from personal experience. You will know the difference between just the peace of your own heart and your mind and the peace of God. They're on two different levels. And when you experience the peace of God in the situation, you will, without a shadow of a doubt, know the peace of God.”

#PrayMoreSpeakLess
“God doesn't wanna just speak through a pastor or through a a teacher or somebody you trust. He wants to speak to you and give you clarity over the situation. We do that by taking it to prayer. That's how distinguishing the spirits works. We will see the motivation. God will show us. God will give us peace, whatever it may be. I love this statement about distinguishing the spirits and how to operate in the gift is we should pray more than we speak. We should pray more than we speak. Something's off. I'm gonna say something's off. We pray more than we speak.”

#MotivationOverPresentation
“Somebody's got a booger on their face. You say, you got a booger on your face. K? To some people, that sounds mean. Right? What are doing? That's gross. But if the motivation behind how you got a booger on your face is love, like I'm just I'm just telling you, you got a booger on your face because I don't want you walking around with a booger on your face. That's love. Motivated out of love. Now could the presentation been different? Yes. But we judge it based on the presentation, not the motivation. Everybody following?”

#HolySpiritOverEmotions
“I've been in the services like that. You get in the room and there's just an emotional high. You know what's wrong with emotional highs? Because as soon as you walk out the room, the high is gone. Because it's not lasting because behind the influence of it was not the Holy Spirit of God who is the spirit of truth, the spirit that will last and continue in our lives, but but it's human nature and human emotions, and human emotions do not last. Human effort cannot last. We are finite. The Holy Spirit is infinite.”

#GiftsGuidedByLove
“We talked about joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. And in those, we've got to remember all the fruit of the spirit as we talk about and walk through the gifts of the spirit, the manifestation gifts of the spirit, that every gift that is used to manifest the Holy Spirit here should be done through the lens of the fruit of the spirit. The fruit of the spirit is very important. Name top of the list being love. If if we're not operating in the gifts of the spirit out of love and out of some other motivation, then then we're doing it wrong. K?”

#FruitBuildsCharacterGiftsShowPower
“The fruit of the spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control speak to our character while the gifts of a word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, interpretation of tongues, all speak to the power of the Holy Spirit. So the fruit speaks to that character that he builds within us, and then the gifts speak to the power to manifest himself here on this earth.”

#CheckYourMotivation
“But I I want you to to think about every situation in your life, but specifically those situations where you get hurt, where you get angry, or where you get frustrated. See, the fruit of the spirit is not anger and frustration. The fruit of the spirit is not hurt. Right? And so because we are talking of distinguishing spirits, this morning, I want you to consider and ask God, what is the motivation behind my frustration? Is it love? Is there love? Because, yeah, you can be angry out of love. I know it sounds sounds crazy. What is the motivation behind my hurt? Like, am I hurt because of my human feelings or is it is it a demonic influence in my life?”
