32s
“God's not gonna light up the whole road. He just wants you to be willing to take the next step. And remember, you don't have to try to be great in the eyes of the world. You've just got to become more and more like Jesus. Because God isn't just trying to take you somewhere. He's trying to make you into someone. Someone that resembles Jesus.”
93s
“I want you to know that this is so important in discerning God's will. He's not going to give you the whole map, but he is going to give you enough light for you to take the next step. When I was growing up, we had a pond behind our house and I have two brothers, an older brother and a younger brother. And growing up, we used to love to walk down to the pond at night. And there was a trail that led from the house all the way down to the pond. And we used to love to take our flashlights and walk down to the pond. But the flashlight didn't light up the whole trail. But the flashlight did light up enough of the next part of the trail. So we could take the next step and the next step and the next step until we reach down to the pond. And that's how it is with God's will. God's not gonna light up your whole road. God's not gonna light up the entire path. He's not gonna give you the whole map, but he is gonna give you enough light to take the next step, and the next step, and the next step.”
64s
“Maybe you came in today and your prayer was, God, I wanna know your will. God, show me the next big thing you have for me to do. And maybe God has made it clear to you that his will is not as as complicated as you thought it was. It's a little more simple than that. God is saying, here's my will for you. Trust me. Depend on me. Love the person who's standing in front of you. Serve the person who's sitting next to you. Humble yourself and do the next right thing. That's my will for your life. Remember,”
