Day 3: Prayer as Our Anchor
In the face of impending suffering, Jesus turned to prayer, seeking strength and guidance from the Father. This teaches us the importance of prayer in our own times of trial, as a means to connect with God, find solace, and gain the strength to endure. Jesus' example encourages us to prioritize prayer, not as a last resort but as a first response. In prayer, we find the assurance that God hears and answers in His wisdom. It is through prayer that we align our hearts with God's will and find the peace that surpasses understanding, even in the midst of life's storms.
Luke 22:41-42 (ESV): "And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, 'Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.'"
Reflection: Identify a current challenge you are facing. How can you make prayer your first response and seek God's guidance and strength in this situation?
