“There is a time, brother Daniel, to confront sin, but there's also a time to comfort sinners. Now, you say, "Preacher, how in the world could you say that? What do you mean comfort sinners?" Uh, you have to understand this entire series of sermons is about the craftiness of the devil.”
“Satan will use, listen, he will use church discipline to tempt Christians to be unforgiving of sinners. What do you mean by that? Let me help you. Uh Satan is so crafty that he will tempt you to look at someone who is living in sin or someone who is a sinner and it will cause you to be proud of your righteousness.”
“See, there's there's two parts. You don't just have to forgive. You have to forgive and love. We have to love the sinners even though we don't love the sin. And so Paul tells us not to be ignorant devices of Satan.”
“That's how crafty the devil is. And so our goal for this last quarter of the year is to expose Satan for what he is, for who he is, and for what he does. And the Bible tells us here in verse number 11 that Satan is trying to get an advantage over us and that he has many devices to do so.”
“Because we are in a fight today whether you choose to believe it or not. and everything may be good and everything may be happy golucky in your life, but whether you choose to believe it or not does not mean that we are not in a fight.”
“The only way that you can defend yourself, the only way that you can defend your home, the only way that you can defend your family, the only way that you can defend your church is to learn about the devices of the devil and put on the whole armor of God.”
“Because you cannot win this battle on your own merit. You cannot beat Satan on your own merit. That is what Philippians 4:13 means when it says I can do all things through what? Christ, which what? Strengthens me.”
“Your sin will not send you to hell. Your sin is not capable of sending you to hell. Your sin can't do it. Your sin won't do it. Your sin did not do it. Remember, Jesus has already covered your sins. Your sin debt has already been paid. And today, the only thing that can ever send you to hell, the only thing that can ever separate you from God, the only thing that can ever cause you to be separated from all that you know and love is your P R I D pride.”
“He can control your perceptions. He can control your actions. And if he can control your thoughts, he can control everything about you. Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:27 to neither give place to the devil. The word place, remember, is talking about a geographical location. And the devil is doing his dead level best to take the ground from you and I. The ground that is our minds.”
“If the devil can steal your joy, he can kill your peace. If the devil can steal your purpose, he can destroy your ministry. If the devil can steal your kids, he can destroy your home. He wants what you've got because God give it to you. And when he gets it, he wants to destroy it and kill it.”
“So, beginning today, here's what I want to do. I want everybody to put your hand in the air and say, "Today, I'm taking it back." Today, I'm going to let him know he can't have nothing else God give me.”
“That means it ain't there anymore. He took it out of the way and he nailed it to his cross. Now go to Colossians 2:15. Michael, is that on there? We got 15 on there. Verse 15. Listen to this. and having spoiled principalities and powers. What are we up against every day? Powers and principalities and rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places.”
“As long as you've got Jesus, you have already overcome the devil. As long as you've got Jesus, you've already overcome sin. And I know that sometimes, listen, uh, sometimes in this life, uh, the battle, sometimes in this battle that we are facing, sometimes it seems like our strength is all gone, much less do we have victory.”
“The Bible says that the same power, the power of the Holy Spirit, the same power that let a dead man get up and walk out of a grave after being there for three days. The Bible says that the same power, Brother Buford, that got him up is the same power that dwells in me today while I stand here and preach about him.”
“There is victory over whatever sin is destroying your life today. As long as you have the power of the Holy Spirit operating in you, and it is the same power that raised him from the dead. And there's nothing, listen, there is nothing, nothing in your life that is bigger, that is better, that is stronger, that is more able than the Holy Spirit of God.”
“Satan wants to take what is beautiful and ruin it. While God wants to take what's ruined and make it beautiful, the Bible says he's a man of war. Uh we sometimes have this habit of painting this picture of God. My brother and I were talking about it the other day and we have this picture of painting God as this being that sits on the throne and he's just sitting up there and loving on the little children and uh and watching the little children. But the Bible says that God is a man of war.”
