1. "How many of you know that, see, if God captures your heart, he captures everything. That's what he wants of you today. He wants your heart. And that's why Moses told the children of Israel, hear oh Israel, the Lord your God is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength." 2. "You know, the thing is, it's not really what goes on on the outside of us. It's what's going on inside of you that really matters. And that's what we want to focus on in the next, in the past few weeks we've been talking about that and we're talking about the heart of man and how it connects with God. So today I'm speaking specifically about developing a heart for God because if you don't have a heart for God you don't have anything." 4. "God is looking for people whose heart is connected with his heart because that's all that he wants of us. He doesn't want your money, he doesn't want your stuff, he wants your heart. 5. "You know, when we think about the church today, we realize that the church is made up of good Christian people. The church is full of good Christian people. But as I was thinking about this sermon and praying and getting ready to put it together, I'm saying that, you know, when we look at the church today, we see all these good Christian people, but do they really have a heart for God?" 6. "A person's desire for God is demonstrated in their willingness to spend time in His presence and their obedience to His will. You see, that is what determines how much you desire God and not how much you're willing to spend time in His presence." [01:11:18] (18 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

7. "We need to understand that God wants us to have a desire for Him. In Psalm 42 the sons of Korah sings, as the deer pants for the water so my soul longs after you. Can we say that this morning? Can we as we search ourselves today honestly and sincerely say, as the deer pants for the water so my soul longs for you God. Can we say that today?" 8. "If you pray about something and then you can't sleep at night because you're worrying over that, you have not prayed yet. You have to be able to pray about something and go to sleep at night. Can you do that? You need to do that. That's what real trust and implicit trust is all about. So when you depend upon God, God will see you through the end of the way." 9. "When we love God, we do the things that God wants us to do. So you might say, well, as we get here, you might say, well, Pastor Dave, how do I know? How do I know what is God's will for me? Because I want to know God's will. I want to know what God wants of me. Well, Paul gives us a very simple strategy, if you want to call it that, or he gives us a formula." 10. "I said earlier on at the beginning, I said that God wants to capture your heart because if He captures your heart, He captures all of you. And one of the reasons why God is able to capture all of us is because we have not yet given Him our hearts. We have not surrendered our hearts to Him."
