#GodAlreadyThere
“``Why should we be scared of tomorrow? God is already there. We're not. But God's presence is there. God's help is there. God's strength is there. His patience is there. His kindness is there. His love is there. Everything you need is there already waiting for you. You'll have strength when you need it tomorrow. You'll have peace when you need it tomorrow. You'll have joy when you need it tomorrow. You'll have hope when you need it tomorrow. And guess what? The same goes for today. What an amazing God we serve.”

#NothingCanSeparateUs
“What can separate us from his love? Can angels, can demons, can powers, can principalities, can darkness, can sickness, can troubles, can issues in this world, can whatever you see on your cell phone, can whatever next thing that's gonna come up in a day, two days, three days, four days, nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Nothing.”

#GodKnowsYou
“Do you know? God is in heaven right now, taking care of everything. And the scripture is clear and tells us he knows that you're sitting down. I just want you to take a minute and let that sink in. Not the person beside you, not that table over there. God knows you're sitting down. Isn't that cool? Like, doesn't that make you feel special? God in heaven who rules the entire universe knows you are sitting down and that I am standing up. Seems like a basic point. But the point is not that we're sitting down or that I'm standing up. The point is that God knows it, that he cares to see it, that we have his attention. Wow. That's how much he cares about us. He cares to even know that you're sitting down.”

#PauseAndNoticeCreation
“Remember, God knows all things past, present, and future. You know, he did not say, go home and scroll your cell phone. Go home and doomscroll for a while. He said, go look at the flowers. Look at the birds. You could take it further. You know where he's going. Just take a look around you. Take a breath and realize that it is in him. We live and move and have being.”

#DependOnGodAlways
“That's what we're here to remind ourselves of this morning. Our complete and total dependence upon God and upon the great salvation brought to us by his son, Jesus Christ. We depend upon him now, and we depend on him eternally. He gives us life. He gives us breath. He gives us all things. In him we live. In him we move. In him we have our being. Our future secure no matter what comes, because God is already there, and God is holding us in the palm of his hands.”

#GodProvidesAllThings
“So we trust today as we trusted him yesterday, and we trust him tomorrow. Because in him we live, In him we move. In him we have our being. He gives us life. He gives us breath. And then Paul, I guess, says, well, I'm not gonna go on with everything. So he just says, and he gives us all things. There you have it. So what are you gonna need tomorrow? God gives us all things. What do you need today? God gives us all things. And the longer you walk with the Lord, the more you know that. The more he has sustained you in the past, he will sustain you now. He will sustain you in the future.”

#GodHasAPlanAndPurpose
“God is taking care of everything. God is in control of everything. Nobody's pulling a fast one on God. Nobody's planning something that's gonna get something behind his back. Nothing in the world is gonna go on that God doesn't know about. And God has a plan, and God has a purpose. And in fact, he even wrote it down and gave it to us.”

#JesusHasOvercome
“So he did not take away that there's gonna be trouble. And you're probably thinking, you know, Derek, this was going real well until you said that. But we have to acknowledge it is the case. In this world, you will have trouble. No amens. Nobody. Not a not a single clap. Nothing. In this world, you will have problems. In this world, you will have difficulties. But Jesus said, not for I have overcome the world. I've overcome everything you need that you think you need to be afraid of. He's overcome death itself, and he's given us eternal life.”
