#PreachTruth
“Doctrine is important. Right? We wanna be a friendly church. We wanna be a church that that people are well connected to. We wanna be a a church that's biblical in our worship. There's a lot of things that we strive to be. But if we miss the mark with doctrine, we're not a church worth attending. Your number one reason for being a part of Refuge of Hope Church should be we preach truth. We teach truth. If we stop doing that and we get everything else right, please go somewhere else. Because I don't want us to to feel really good about being a part of the social club, refuge of hope, and then go to hell because we were we were off on doctrine. Doctrine matters.”

#HeartOverRules
“Holiness is not a list of rules. We can't make a list of rules long enough to make you holy. The approach of of being holy by just adhering to rules without this depth is what leads to legalism. You're not gonna be able to stand before god with your list and be like, well, lord, I I I had, like, a 97% on the list. I figured that ought to get me in. No. He he's saying, hey. Look. I I was working on the inside. I was changing the way you think. God, I allowed you to alter my mind. I I allowed you to work and do heart surgery spiritually on me and and change the way I feel about things and and alter my perception of life and I I ultimately dedicated my life to representing you. That's what holiness is.”

#ConsistentHoliness
“Conformity leads me to be one way on Sunday and and not have the same standard on Thursday. Conformity says, I'll I'll fit the part when I'm with this group. And when I'm with that group, I'll conform to them as well. That that's not a stance of holiness. That's not a stance of being dedicated. When we talk about holiness, it's getting into the word of god. It's finding revelation. It's developing conviction. It's having a desire to be obedient and then taking action based on those things. Because then when I find myself in an environment where no one else is doing what I'm doing, it doesn't matter. I am who I am because I'm dedicated to the purpose and the will of god. This is holiness.”

#ObeyGodsCommands
“We think that we have to be personally convicted about every command before we're obligated to obey. The Bible tells us to flee fornication. If you don't have a personal conviction over that today, I don't care. You still are supposed to flee fornication. don't need a personal conviction about a direct command from the word of god. You're just obligated to be obedient but I don't feel like I should be obedient. It doesn't matter. God said, do something or don't do something. You don't need a personal emotional experience telling you that you need to comply with that teaching. Right? Right. That's not what personal conviction is.”
