Sermon Quotes

When apocalypse happens, when the truth of who God is is revealed, worship is the only sane and right response.

The Lord God stands outside of time and he holds all of time like a giant filmstrip.

The Lord God holds the best version of your future; you follow him into that future and he is with you and for you.

In Christ we are not defined by either the terrible things that have happened in the past or the glory days of what we accomplished.

When faced with evil, wrongdoing, or crazy headlines, we don’t fight, stew, get anxious, sad, or helpless; we start with worship and then do the next faithful thing.

Worship is a good antidote for anxiety; it takes our eyes off the person or problem we often can’t do anything about.

We’re set free to be priests: to represent people to God in intercession, and to represent God to people in teaching and care.

Jesus is the ruler of all the kings and rulers of the whole earth, even if they’re doing extremely non‑Jesus‑y things.

And when we do, he steps into your frames in this story; he accompanies you for the rest of your scenes to the end of your days.
